I am surprised at the number of people who think this is a good fight. Yeah, Provo obviously has a puncher's chance. He lands some of that stuff he did on Bradley there will be no way Khan recovers, if he even gets up.

The problem is that we saw Matthysse jab this guy to death just a few months ago, who is shorter in height and reach than Khan, plus he is probably also not as fast as Khan. Granted, that Khan doesn't have power to stop him from coming forward (which he wouldn't stop doing anyway) and that Matthysse still had to eat some some good punches to get through the fight. But, Khan fights and thinks differently than guys like Matthysse and Bradley, and I'm sure he is cognizant about having a less than stellar chin (to put it nicely), so he will do whatever it takes to avoid getting stanky legged again.

Absolute best case scenario - this fight looks like Khan vs Maidana. More likely, it will look like Khan vs Gairy St Clair.

EDIT: Yes, I respect Khan for being willing to take on someone who packs a punch but to be honest I'm not sure he has to be too worried about getting hit too much in this fight. I wouldn't be stunned at all if Provo gets shutout.

Solid chin and hits hard..All you have to do is walk Brook down as he has no inside game and lay a punch on to his delicate whiskas...

Brooks never faced a puncher....Ruslan would be the hardest hitter Brook has ever faced...

      Brook was wobbled by Senchenko

Although i can see why Brook is gunning for Khan, cuz Khan doesnt hit that hard
lmaoooo! This phuckin thread man, some of these posters have decided that Ruslan is on some Foreman ****. Yeah he's a puncher but comon now, you can't be totally sure he'd beat Brook. He's lost to much less quality opponents.

Khan is going to sleep if true, ruslan hits hard and is super aggressive, he will touch khan on the chin, if algieri rocked khan imagine ruslan?

Khan should just fight brook, ruslan is a high risk low reward fight.

Khan boxes on the outside, ties on the inside. Rinse and repeat for 36 minutes.

I wanna say khan easily picks him apart. Dashing in and out, but this is Amir Khan so idk. Right now I'll choose Amir but wouldn't be surprised if he did the stanky leg then get ktfo somewhere in the mIddle of the fight.

Provodnikov has no skill whatsoever, but watch all those UK dudes hype the hell out of him beating up an unskilled plodder... He got power doe. See Khan doesn't cherry pick... He's the truth!

                  So last year?

Hmm.. Khan fought Alexander coming off a loss to the guy Brook beat.

                  So I guess not.

What is with Khan and Broner going back to Showtime though, that is Interesting but great for Showtime who need some good fights to finish the year strong.
Simply put, PBC is running out of major fight dates over the second half of the year. There are basically two primetime NBC shows left, in addition to 3-4 primetime ESPN dates (could also count 4-5 SpikeTV FNLO shows, but the payouts are a bit lower).

Only other avenue in the PBC fold that can meet the primetime ESPN/NBC payouts is Showtime, and Showtime, having had a relatively light Showtime Championship Boxing (6 shows so far, with Mayweather-Berto and Broner-Allahkverdiev already in the cue), is positioned to meet the rest of that void.

teamwork makes the dream work; everyone on this site, wasting all of their energy ****ting on Stephen Espinoza, are gone be looking real silly, especially after the HBO calendar goes dark after Cotto-Alvarez and Showtime closes out the year strong.

Can't believe people are trying to put this fight down and trying to twist it to discredit Khan. This would be a stylistic nightmare and also a very hard puncher. Some of you who admittedly don't like Khan acknowledge that this deserves applause whereas others are just proving how much of an emotional hater they really are. To outpoint Ruslan you have to go to hell and back, who's beaten him easily? So how is it an easy fight, you clearly think of Khan so highly.

Also, Eddie Hearn and Brook were seriously considering fighting Provo however they said he wouldn't have been ready for September. Ruslan>Chaves. You can argue otherwise but Chaves hasn't beaten anyone when he stepped up and he won his interim title against a guy like 13-11, tough challenger but extremely unproven. Don't **** on this fight and praise Brook-Chaves, both tough fights but one has been promising you Bradley and Marquez and the other is "finally" considering fighting a puncher.
