Nobody would beat Mayweather easily. What great intangibles does floyd have......being able to outbox a 5ft 6 PACQUAIO who rose up from flyweight....or natural all time great welterweight in leonard or hearns...I say again leonard or hearns would beat mayweather easily......both guys had speed and movement that could match floyd..,plus longer reaches....plus natural welterweights and not lightweights moving up.......more power....all round great fighters......de la Hoya was 35....maidana got beat and dropped by khan......guerrero went up 3 weights to face floyd......canelo was unproven and inexperienced...and cotto has been through the wars......all of them are nowhere near the caliber of a hearns or leonard at there prime as a welterweight
At welter, I got Mayweather over one of those guys, and the other two giving Mayweather one-hell-of-a-fight..... with Mayweather being a very slight underdog against one, and being a very slight favorite over the other..... but both being pickem fights.
Of the first guy, I'm not sure if anyone could have beaten him at LW.Comment

Considering the depth at WW, choosing Berto was somewhat lame. To charge for it, however, deserves a thumbs down. We'll see how the fans respond.
Duran was best at LW and therefore it was unrealistic to challenge Hagler. He lost but he tried. This is the hallmark of an ATG.Comment

He also beat fighters that were better than Castillo, against Castillo, just like with all other fighters, he was having a bad night, also he was injured ( a legit injury) and he was moving up for the first time to a new weight class to fight the lineal champion, something we rarely see fighters do today, and it was a very close fight that could've gone either way, Also having a tough fight with someone can't tell u much about how he might do against another, Hagler got outboxed by Willie Monroe, Hearns got KOed by Barkley and he was still 30 years old and Duran lost to Kirkland Laing, but Hearns KOed Duran who beat Barkley who KOed Hearns, traingle theories don't work.Let me ask some of you something, do you guys think that prime for prime Castillo was better than Duran, or that Maidana was close to the level of Leonard or Hearns? Those two guys gave Floyd a lot of problems(and Floyd made Maidana wear pillows), how do you think he deals with guys like Duran, Leonard and Hearns? I won't mention Hagler, since he was a middleweight.
Floyd was 37 against Maidana, who imo didn't win more than 4 rounds, u r comparing prime for prime, Floyd was NOT in his prime when he fought Maidana.
We will never know who would've won, there are way too many factors involved, but on thing is for sure, u can't count anyone of these guys out, Neither Hearns nor Duran nor Leonard fought anybody that's remotley close to Floyd Mayweather, and Floyd Mayweather never faced someone like these guys but he fought fighters that came forward and wanted to put pressure on him, but of course there are levels to this, but I think Floyd would be more comfortable with them trying to come at him than them trying to find him, but again that's just my opinion.Comment

they should beat mayweather.....that's nothing special
He turned pro weighing 130 and below...Hagler was a career middleweight, and Hearns and SRL started at 140 +
Its like saying Mayweather, Cotto, and Mosley would beat Erik Morales, Naseem Hamed, and Juan Manuel Marquez
they're suppose to...they are great fighters and naturally larger...weight classes duhLast edited by therealpugilist; 09-03-2015, 10:33 AM.Comment
