Talk about how boring Mayweather is and how much he's killing the sport all you want. Tell me this then, who else can sell 4.4 million PPV's. Average 25 asses in the seats per buy, and you have over 100,000,000 people watching a fight. Please tell me who can bring that much exposure to the sport. Or you can just keep tossing out your blanketed racist comments.
Hate to bust your bubble, but, Floyd vs Manny did that, not just Floyd.

And it's really no different than it's been for many years. Media thinks to remain relevant, they have to latch on to the biggest thing and talk it to death. That is not necessary. How many of us have heard more than enough from Trump? Or the latest reality show mega star? Media thinks if a person isn't ultra familiar to nearly everyone, there's no sense in covering them. I've never went with that theory, and certainly don't now regarding Floydie. This sport has been around well over a hundred years, and still has plenty of life in it. I hear MMA is going to soon kill boxing. Won't happen. I just hope when the Floydie biz is over, it's completely over. But you know every sports show will still welcome him with open arms, even when he's broke, barely able to speak coherently, and the interview circuit is his only income. Won't bother me. I'll be too busy watching the newest stars and the current legends... who actually take the sport seriously, and are good role models. In fact, IMO the only way boxing dies is if we get further away from the true role models who built the sport.

I agree! Boxing will have and does have new stars already! We don't need to worry, new stars created daily!

You people are naive if you think the best will fight the best after Floyd retires.

Fighters like Wilder and Quillin will continue to pick their fights.

Agreed! But even back in the day, they didn't! Cinderella man got paid to step aside and let Louis fight for the title!

You're right, Mayweather has broken records. What's even more amazing is despite the boring, **** fights that Floyd has continuously fought, many fans kept tuning in, hoping that someone would finally beat his ass. But alas, it hasn't happened. As far as he's concerned, this is my only regret.

Once china or India develop a boxing fan base, and they stop devaluing their respective currencies, all PPV buy records will be broken!

Farhood says there will be a hole in boxing once Mayweather retires. ****, there's a hole in it now! I've been waiting for this mother****er to deliver an actual good fight for years! Dropping a yard to watch him run, grab, hold & pot shot all night is not my idea of a good, satisfying experience. The gaping hole in boxing will actually close after Floyd retires.

2010 - 2015 will forever be remembered as the single worst era in the history of professional boxing. The Farce of the Century perfectly encapsulated that era.
