Greatest Mexican and one of the greatest ever regardless of nationality, the one, the only, Grand Champion - Julio Cesar Chavez!

Greatest Puerto Rican is a little less obvious and a little less prestigious. No offense to PR but they haven't EVER produced anyone of the quality and longevity and enduring legacy of a truly top level ATG, such as Chavez or Morales or Barrera and so on. Some damn good fighters though, second tier greats like:
    Cotto
    Rosario
    Vazquez
    Camacho

But the best ever, it's really a toss up between Tito, Ortiz, Gomez and Benitez. Benitez gets credit has being, quite possibly the best in terms of conservative boxing skills but Tito was the mega star who could punch....as was Gomez. Ortiz is the classical legend.

I'm gonna hand it to Tito.

Mexico it's a toss up between Chavez and Ricardo Lopez, I like Ricardo Lopez more cuz watching him fight is a thing of beauty, I call him the best basic fighter ever, nothing fancy, too disciplined, makes few to no mistakes and does everything textbook right, if u r learning how to box u have to watch this guy. Already brokethe Marciano record, retired at 52-0-1 with a record of 24-0-1 in championship fights, very underrated fighter.

PR it's tougher to call, Gomez was great, Tito was Great and Corto is great, ill reserve my answer till November 22nd.

To each their own. Cotto has the highest skillset of all of them, I'm not sure this can be denied. Others had better chins, more power, better boxing ability Cotto is the complete package.

I'm not offended if he's not #1 on someone's list, it's all objective.

You think Cotto has more skills than Wilfred Benitez or Carlos Ortiz?

As a complete package... yup. Like I said, some guys have more power, speed, boxing ability, better chin, better stamina. I personally think as the total package, Cotto does them all better than anyone else can do them all.

Everyone has their own criteria, this again is objective not factual. I'm going by skill set, some people actually think of them fighting each other. Others think it's a popularity contest. Overall skill/athletic ability/boxing IQ... I'm going with Cotto.
