Ward has to either fight the top contenders at 168 or move up. The problem is there really isn't any good fights for Ward at 168. He can fight DeGale who also has unfinished business with Groves. Ward doesn't want to fight the Dirrell brothers. Bute is no longer a lucrative fight for him, and he already beat Abraham.
Then there is other opponents like Felix Sturm and Gilberto Ramirez which would be good opponents but Ward would be too much for those two.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 08-29-2015, 04:54 AM.Comment

Great exposure for Andre Ward, more eyes will get to see him than will watch Golovkin-Lemieux probably.
And it's simply not true that he is boring. His mix of both and inside and an outside game actually brings something interesting to the table, it's not like he is one dimensional like Klitschko for example.Comment

wlad at one point was exciting. Now he's a punch and clinch fighter like Ward, it's awful to watch either one.Great exposure for Andre Ward, more eyes will get to see him than will watch Golovkin-Lemieux probably.

... To be fair: at 168, Ward doesn't have viable opponents -- due to managerial issues and or "continent"... In addition: no other champion would want to fight him, because he doesn't sell tickets and because he wins easily decisions...
... While Ward seems not to be ready to move up at 175.Comment

So you're saying casual fans like to watch him? Any proof of this? I don't mind watching him, but the promoters are asking fans to shell out money for this.Comment
