      Yes i agree. Thats why i continue to say im a fan of both and what is being missed is that fact that i have stated, a couple of times in this very thread, that i hope Ward ups his comp and that GGG continues his so we can get a big fight down the road.

      Not stellar and "nothing but cans" aren't exactly the same thing. Are you attempting to revise your absurd statement?

      ok fine they arent all cans. Only 90% of them are and saying otherwise is a lie and you know it.

      You've been attempting to defend Ward chasing a ridiculous fight, while attacking GGG and his fans.

      No i havent, i been saying i have no issue with this fight happening down the road when both up the comp. Same thing you just said but somehow mine is different.

      Case in point. Don't tell me you seriously consider the IBO to be a major world title? Smh, fanboys. Unify with what? The WBA belt he hasn't defended in almost 2 years?

      I dont think any belt is relevant anymore but if GGG fans want to say that GGG can stay cause hes unifying then why cant Ward do the same thing. And yes i do consider the IBO a little less then the WBO. And though he hasnt defended it in 2 years doesnt mean he isnt the champion or has something changed that i dont know about

      For me everything is about angles and i see a different one here then others do. I like both and am a fan of both but that cant be according to you.

      But i am attacking GGG fans cause they are delusional. Daggum in particular.
      I have replied to them all

        Well since Ward fights at 172 and not 168.................

        • From reading all these threads, one thing is crystal clear.

          Almost NOBODY cares about Ward, N O B O D Y gives a damn about Andre Ward, about his fights, about his persona, about his life etc.

          The only people who "fake-care" about Ward are GGG haters. GGG has become so huge and popular, that he besides of millions of fans worldwide, now also has gathered a lot of envious, bitter and often racist haters, who try to clutch at any straw that might stop the unstoppable force, that GGG has become.

          There is no blueprint to stop GGG!

          GGG has his biggest fights lined up, Lemieux and Cotto/Canelo winner, he can become unified and undisputed MW champion like Marvin Hagler/Carlos Monzoon! Have some respect!

          Ward needs GGG to be somewhat relevant, he doesnt even have the cojones to face a top guy in his own division or move up 3 pounds to fight Kovalev.

          GGG = legend
          Ward = sissy

            Golovkin has fought over the MW limit.

            Twice.

              You mean since boxrec listed two of his fights from 2008 at 161 pounds?

              What about Ward? 3 of his fights were at 171 and higher.

              Would be funny if The Big Dunn is actually Zac Dunn, then Ward can fight one of his biggest fans.

                Awesome!

                Both can meet in the middle at a catchweight of 168 pounds!

                  Lol, 2008 at 161lbs and 161.25lbs, ironically around the same time Ward weighed 171lbs and 171.25lbs.

                  Actually in the middle would be 166lbs.

                  Ben Thompson: I was asking because, well, obviously the biggest fight in boxing is Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, but in my opinion, the second biggest fight that can be made is Andre Ward vs. Sergio Martinez. I know Martinez's people have been saying they don't want to move up any higher in weight, but I was curious to know if you thought maybe you could get down to maybe 165 and meet him at a catchweight.

                  Andre Ward: I think something like that could be reasonable. I would have to really take my time and see if that makes sense, but Sergio Martinez, I would love that fight. I think it would be a great fight for the sport; I really do. I respect his skills, I respect what he's done and what he's doing, and I say this with the utmost respect, man, that's a fight that, if it can happen, it should happen. I would love that.

                    Good catch.

                    Since I was being completely serious about the weights and all.

                    Look, this whole dog chasing the tail shit regarding Golovkin-Ward has gotten stale for me. The vast majority of the time I'm busting balls.

                    I pretty much given up on the fight happening any time soon since the last week of July, with the hypothetical catchweight deal thrown out there by K2, and then with the breaking of the GGG-Lemieux fight being finalized.

                    I'm looking forward to that fight, and hoping Ward gets his thumb out, and fights a decent opponent sometime this year.

                    • Ward fans chop GGG for the quality of his opposition but it's ten times better than what Ward has been fighting lately. GGG is fighting rated middleweights 4 times a year. Ward is averaging less than a fight a year in the last few years and he only fought one top contender in the last 2 years. I never liked the way Ward fights but long ago he did fight good fighters. Now he has become a cherry picker. Maybe it's the Haymon influence.
