this ^^
it's been a while since we had a good sparring session huh? lol
I feel what you're saying...but the hype surrounding the two is way different...BHop wasn't getting network nuthugged like GGG is....BHop wasn't labeled as the "MOST FEARED"...BHop wasn't claiming he'd body anybody from 154-168....GGG is more hyped than BHop EVER was...so with that hype and network nuthugging comes great responsibility....same with Floyd claimingg to be TBE without fighting Pac....it just didn't sit right....GGG is considered a SUPERSTAR....BHOP at 160 was fighting on BET for ****s sake...he wasn't obligated to step up big because he wasn't given the big shoes like GGG has been given....SUPERSTARS are expected to do extraordinary things...so if we have to accept that this guy is a SUPERSTAR and some type of wrecking machine, then his team and fans must respect that we want him to PROVE it and live up to the hype
BHop went unnoticed for years...GGG is being shoved in our faces...big difference broComment

Adonis surely realises by now the boxing public have worked the situation out and he is a bona fide coward. His next OPTIONAL title defense against Karpency says it all. Kovalev would kill him. Stevenson is the biggest piece of s*** in boxing, period.Comment

Duva called to be named mandatory challenger, understanding that she wanted her business tied to HBO and that Yvon Michel had his Stevenson business tied to Showtime.
The purse bid was going to be the only result to come of the entire thing, if you're being honest, and Yvon Michel simply wanted to cut the bull**** and save the wasted "negotiation period".
In Duva's dream world, Stevenson would've had his fight, Kovalev would've renewed with HBO and then fought Mohammedi (Duva was able to get put into mandatory position because she convinced the WBC that Kovalev-Pascal was the last bout owed to HBO; HBO wasn't going to showcase any interim fight with Kovalev that would've left them holding an empty bag either), Duva would make some big stink about needing negotiations to now take place, six weeks would've passed, Duva would then find some foolish reason to walk away from the purse bid, and it'd be October and she would still hope to have her "Stevenson is ducking us" story.
The fox simply got outfoxed; take the L and move on.Comment

We don't know what HBO is offering, Stevenson team haven't even talked to them. But Kovalev Pascal splitting 6m is an indicator.
There's no open market, its simply not an option. Adonis' options are HBO vs Kov, or more bums for less moneyComment

So the only difference between GGG and BHop at MW is that GGG is being promoted better than BHop was. And to you, that means he has to move up to 168 NOW, and forget about unifying the titles at 160?

Skippy just pulled the $2.5m figure out of his arse, which is where most of his comments seem to come from.
Kovalev and Pascal did split $6m between them, and Kovalev/Stevenson would be bigger than that for sure.
Easily the biggest purse of Stevenson's career, if he wanted it.Comment
