The WBC has already agreed to this split after it goes to a purse bid. I wonder what he making at HBO that would prevent him from facing Stevenson possibly in Vegas and on Canadian PPV.
If Haymon wins it will be on free TV with a chance for millions of new viewers to see these guys in the ring.
Look how much each guy made in there last fight:
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...di-third-round
Mohammedi trainer Abel Sanchez said Mohammedi, who earned a career-high purse of $270,000 to Kovalev's $750,000 (plus additional money from Russian television), was overwhelmed by the big moment of his biggest fight.
The talk, it seems, will begin again where Adonis Stevenson's concerned. He might be World Boxing Council light-heavyweight champion, but controls only 25 per cent …
Stevenson, 25-1 with 21 knockouts, reportedly will earn a purse in the $3-million range against Bika. It has been suggested Kovalev and Pascal, combined, will total that figure, although that could change contingent on pay-per-view sales.
This is worse than Manny not taking a 50/50 because of a drug test. A purse bid gets them both a lot more money right?Comment

Yeah lets just forget that Stevenson literally ran from Kovalev when that fight was primed and ready to go...remember that? Remember neither had an opponent and HBO was pushing for it only for Stevenson to run to Showtime to face a lesser opponent? Unbiased fan doeComment

Pascal and Kovalev split 6m on HBO. Purse bid is not an option since Kovalev has an exclusive deal with HBO. The best money available to Stevenson is vs Kovalev on HBO, but as his track record proves, he'd rather fight bums for much lessThe WBC has already agreed to this split after it goes to a purse bid. So it's ok for ward to go up but ***** ass 3G can't go upWard had his knees buckled in the sixth round by 'Tomato Can Smith'. Ward's own home town arena was not even half full. Smith had lost his two previous fights. If Ward is the man he says he is, he will fight Kovalev, for Kovalev has already said ''bring it on''. I think Ward's time has come and gone.
...hypocrisy...wars will beat both ...kovelev was rocked by the Canadian fraud ...so who cares neither have touched the ground ...it's boxing anyone can get rockedComment
