I think Toney would definitely beat Golovkin. Golovkin didn't look that good on the inside against Murray and Monroe, and Toney excelled on the inside.

This is laughable considering he's never took a great shot from a top fighter... we won't be able to see what his stamina is like until he is in an uncomfortable fight against an elite fighter(would have love to see him and Froch) because then we would know whats he's made of..GGG would have taken some head and heavy body shots, only then can you tell if they have that greatness within them

Meh I dunno GGG just isn't how good people think he is... the Murray fight proved it

Or Mc Callum for that matter. I have not seen much of him (gonna' fix that youtube permitting ) but his performance in the linked fight adds another name to the list of guys that Triple G might well lose to based on what we've seen from him so far.

You can't be serious? That was a brutal one sided beating of a pretty good fighter who was rendered helpless. pick apart his competition, but trying to tear down his execution in those fights is irrational and quite laughable.

Martin Murray gave GGG a tough fight too,he's not fit to lace up Toneys jock strap
Do you really believe that Monroe actually gave GGG trouble? He didn't, he land one or two eye catching punches and that was all. Golovkin took a while to stop him but he wasn't ever in any kind of trouble.
Martin Murray also didn't do anything to trouble Golovkin, just landed a couple punches here and there. He got beat-up.

Now, against Tiberi some people believed Toney was awarded a gift decision it was a very close fight.

Toney is not very active and doesn't move alot and is also susceptible to body shots (as his fight against Jirov showed us). He was also much more vulnerable at MW (he was knocked down and hurt against Reggie Johnson, who wasn't a big puncher).

I don't have a clear bet on who would win, but Golovkin would be a very live dog.

Certainty is impossible in a fantasy fight discussion but the guys who had the best chance and there are quite a few, are as follows:

                Robinson
                Monzon
                Hagler
                Leonard
                Hopkins
                Martinez
                Fullmer
                Toney
                Ezzard Charles
                Benn
                Eubank

So, basically a lot of guys. Not because GGG is bad but because he has yet to prove himself at that level.

Good list. But i don't believe Martinez, Benn or Eubanks would be able to beat GGG. I think Golovkin stops Martinez and Benn and UD's Eubanks. I wouldn't count Golovkin out against Fullmer and Leonard also.

I'd like to see GGG vs Merqui Sosa and Thulani Malinga. These guys aren't considered greats, just good journeymen of their time, with some upset wins and questionable losses. GGG likely KO's both but I don't think it would be easy. Probably similar to Kassim Ouma but more competitive.
