Wanted to bump this thread with this fight I watched last night.

No disrespect to GGG, but there have been alot of great middleweights and some of his more rabid fans should watch some of these fights to maybe provide some context for his career achievements (such as they are).

I find it funny people throwing Toney's name as if it was a no-brainer that he would've beaten GGG.

He could very well do it, but its not a given. Toney always had trouble against good pressure fighters. Just look at his fights against Dave Tiberi or Merqui Sosa. Both fighters way bellow GGG's level that gave Toney hell.

aren't you one of those people who say donaire was overrated and was beating up on smaller fighters?

first of all martinez did not tko pavlick he won a UD.martinez was always getting dropped in fights even by guys who weren't power punchers his chin wasn't the best.he also kept his hands down which is bad news against golovkin.golovkin ko's any version of sergio martinez dibella even admitted it by saying golovkin is an animal and would be too much for sergio.

Just like Rigo so does GGG with Ward but at a different division

Both guys are trying to unify their division, really confuses me the bias of some of you on here.
Difference is Rigo is willing to go up and fight Loma,

You truly talk some rubbish don't you?
Donaire was the man in his division,a ko machine knocking out guys that had never been stopped before and past champions, not to mention making it look easy whilst been natural at the weight

you think if GGG beats Canelo or Cotto that would equal or be better than the win over Donaire???

If GGG moves up and fights Ward today I'm not sure that would be as good as the Donaire win considering how inactive Ward is now

I don't think he ever has been. I know Roy and some other guy dropped him in the 90s but I don't recall him being hurt. Many people point out that he slips punches and never gets hit clean but if you see his fight with jirov, you can see even when does get hit clean it's still practically unbreakable.

imo jake lamotta. and maybe hagler.

GGG has too legendary chin, his power is incredible at middleweight, his pressure is too relentless and unforgiving, and his stamina and heart is otherworldly.
