Golovkin's made it clear he was willing give Froch & Chavez an 8lbs advantage due to their popularity. Ward doesn't have anywhere near that popularity and yes he's a tougher fight. You want Ward/Golovkin so bad, start riding Ward's ass to make himself relevant again. It's been almost 4 years now since he's had a legit opponent (Froch in Dec'11). Don't bring up Dawson, you guys know you wouldn't give Golovkin credit if he beat SOG with a 4lbs weight drop, Chad had to cut 7lbs.
Andre could fight Pascal in his next fight this year and then Kovalev in early 2016. What's wrong with that? Meantime Golovkin beats Lemieux in front of 20,000 people in NYC on US ppv and then Lee/Saunders in front of 20,000 people in London on UK ppv. After all that, we have a proper setup for a 168lbs Ward/Golovkin super fight in June/July of 2016.

Golovkin is a hype job a Commie play more a fraud
GGG cannot beat Ward at 168lbs in Oakland-EVER.
Bearcat one of the world's leading boxing experts says emphatically that Ward dismantles GGG at 168lbs and exposes the flaws in the overrated smaller untested GGG. Buy the steak which is Ward not the sizzle which is GGG. FACT.

Just noticed this thread.....
I suspect there is no point in reading most of the posts.
It will be full of childish excuses and lame double-standards.
Did HeroBando make himself look exceptionally ******, as usual ?

What about his refusal to grant the Cotto/Canelo winner a catchweight ?
The blatant duck of Ward aside..... Golovkin demanded a catchweight from Ward, and he justified that demand by stating that he is the A-side.
Well, Cotto is obviously a JMW, because he weighs 153lb ffs..... and he is most definitely the A-side when it comes to Golovkin...... but it seems like Golovkin would prefer that Cotto vacate so he can fight {insert bum here} for a vacant title.
Golovkin seems to be unwilling to fight a top opponent, and he always has a pile of excuses on hand..... and some of those excuses make him look like a blatant hypocrite.
A year ago, it was correct to say that GGG is a very well-managed fighter.
Now it is obvious that he is a protected fighter.

" anyone from 154-168 " actually means..... nobody at 154 except Mayweather, who will obviously never fight me, so..... nobody at 154.
And specific fighters only from 160-168, depending on who they are..... and, I will only fight those guys at a weight that suits me and disadvantages my opponent.
This is manny-weight all over again..... Team Golovkin stated that Gennady is this avoided killer who will fight anyone.....but it appears that he is the exact opposite.

Boxing insiders and knowledgable observers can see it.
I wonder how long it will take the casuals to smarten up ?

In the "state" that boxing is in today thanks to Wlad and lil' Floyd displaying no ballz boxing and ripping ppv'ers off I prefer watching GGG over Ward!
I don't care who wins between them because Ward is a lightheavy amnd GGG is a middleweight! When people get over this weigh class jumping that all the little ****s have done from 140-154 then boxing matchups can return to "common sense"!
ward is a talented young man who needs to resablish himself in the light heavy division. He already cleared out the junior'sissy 168 class so move up.
He's not a draw because he's a counter move/counter punch who holds and bores everyone watching.
GGG comes to KO his opponents, his opponents are ranked (not that it makes a differtence anymore) and there 5'9" to 5'11" and make 160 without killing themselves as he does!
Ward on the other hand just got finished fighting who?????
Ward boring....
GGG exciting.....
easy choice and if they fight make it even at 164, make it real at 10rds.
ring the bell and move on to something else.
This discussion has become boring and filled with GGG haters, also boring.

You guys are so anxious to discredit Golovkin. He signed to fight Pirog, he signed to fight Chavez at 168, offered to fight Froch at 168 in the UK, he pushed the WBA to fight Sturm, pushed the WBA to fight N'Dam, offered to goto Argentina to fight Martinez instead of Murray, offered to fight Quillin, offered to fight Kessler, and offered to fight Edwin Rodriguez & Thomas Oosthuizen over Rosado. All that and yet he's a protected b*tch.
I suppose in your book Hopkins is a b*tch because he called out Michalzewski and Ottke shortly after he beat Tito, but backed out b/c they didn't offer enough money and wouldn't travel to the US. Hopkins had a 2-fight offer with Showtime to fight Harry Simon then Joe Calzaghe but backed out of that as well b/c he didn't like the money Don King was taking. Is Hopkins a b*tch because he worked on a risk/reward ratio?
