Technically Andre Ward shouldn't even be at SMW anymore going by you guys. All these Golovkin haters b*tch and moan that Golovkin is unproven and has no challenges at MW and that he needs to move up to fight Andre Ward. AND YET Andre Ward cleaned out SMW 3 ****ing years ago and is still lingering around SMW fighting guys like Paul Smith and now Perriban.

Golovkin offered to move up to SMW twice for big money fights with Froch and Chavez. On the other hand Andre Ward turned down a 2 fight offer with Adonis Stevenson - the first fight at 168lbs in Oakland, the 2nd fight at 175lbs in Montreal - now that's a proper b*tch move.

If the only thing you guys have against Golovkin is that he's unwilling to give up 8lbs right now vs Ward, then there are way more fighters through out the sport far guiltier than him of acting scared.

Golovkin's made it clear he was willing give Froch & Chavez an 8lbs advantage due to their popularity. Ward doesn't have anywhere near that popularity and yes he's a tougher fight. You want Ward/Golovkin so bad, start riding Ward's ass to make himself relevant again. It's been almost 4 years now since he's had a legit opponent (Froch in Dec'11). Don't bring up Dawson, you guys know you wouldn't give Golovkin credit if he beat SOG with a 4lbs weight drop, Chad had to cut 7lbs.

Andre could fight Pascal in his next fight this year and then Kovalev in early 2016. What's wrong with that? Meantime Golovkin beats Lemieux in front of 20,000 people in NYC on US ppv and then Lee/Saunders in front of 20,000 people in London on UK ppv. After all that, we have a proper setup for a 168lbs Ward/Golovkin super fight in June/July of 2016.

It's about proclaiming oneself avoided, putting out an open challenge to anyone within specific weight ranges, refusing to accept challenges from fighters within said weight ranges, all the while being proclaimed as boxing's "saviour" without ever facing a single elite opponent yet.

The blatant duck of Ward aside..... Golovkin demanded a catchweight from Ward, and he justified that demand by stating that he is the A-side.

Well, Cotto is obviously a JMW, because he weighs 153lb ffs..... and he is most definitely the A-side when it comes to Golovkin...... but it seems like Golovkin would prefer that Cotto vacate so he can fight {insert bum here} for a vacant title.

Golovkin seems to be unwilling to fight a top opponent, and he always has a pile of excuses on hand..... and some of those excuses make him look like a blatant hypocrite.

In the "state" that boxing is in today thanks to Wlad and lil' Floyd displaying no ballz boxing and ripping ppv'ers off I prefer watching GGG over Ward!
I don't care who wins between them because Ward is a lightheavy amnd GGG is a middleweight! When people get over this weigh class jumping that all the little ****s have done from 140-154 then boxing matchups can return to "common sense"!
ward is a talented young man who needs to resablish himself in the light heavy division. He already cleared out the junior'sissy 168 class so move up.

Posturing on behalf of K2. If the Cotto/Alvarez winner offered to fight Golovkin next, but it had to be at 157lbs, I would bet your life they'd take it. Remember Golovkin offered to fight Gabe Rosado at 158lbs, but Gabe refused the CW and wanted the full 160lbs. K2's supposed to make statements like that in order to setup negotiations, it's kinda the SOP of a boxing promoter.

He signed to fight Pirog, he signed to fight Chavez at 168, offered to fight Froch at 168 in the UK, he pushed the WBA to fight Sturm, pushed the WBA to fight N'Dam, offered to goto Argentina to fight Martinez instead of Murray, offered to fight Quillin, offered to fight Kessler, and offered to fight Edwin Rodriguez & Thomas Oosthuizen over Rosado.
