WBC already look like fools. They have been talking about how the winner between Cotto and Geale had to fight GGG next and then backed away from that one. Sulaiman's balls have atrophied and fallen off. Probably due to the incredible weight they have to tolerate when he sits down. I certainly hope that Loeffler and GGG have it in writing this time and that they will refuse any step aside offer by the winner, no matter how much that disgusting sloth tries to push it through.
That was FOUR YEARS AGO. Before Golovkin had ever stepped in the ring in the US. You can find the story by Doug Fischer at the following link:

It's a very good read.
As much as I detest the long and winding drive up to Big Bear Lake, Calif., I knew I would eventually return to the mountain resort town sometime this year.
I’d been hearing too many stories about Gennady Golovkin, the undefeated WBA middleweight beltholder coached by Abel Sanchez at the veteran trainer‘s gym in Big Bear, to stay away.
When Sanchez told me last month that rising Mexican star Saul Alvarez would not only arrive to train at The Summit, his high altitude training center, in May but also spar with Golovkin, I knew my time to return had come.
By sitting in on a sparring session between the two, I’d find out whether there’s any truth to the outlandish gym rumors I’d heard about Golovkin, a 28-year-old native of Kazakhstan who goes by the nickname “Superman,” and I’d see how talented and tough the 20-year-old 154-pound beltholder really is.Comment

When Golovkin said " anyone from 154-168 " what he meant was.....GGG is not going to pass up a Cotto fight because it's not at 160. If talks are real and Cotto says 157 or whatever, GGG will take it. If he doesn't he's scared it's as simple as that. But it's just yet another example of the lack of GGG's testicles. Cotto goes up 4 divisions GGG can't even go down 1 pound or move up 1 division. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
" I will fight you at a weight that I know you are not comfortable with anywhere from 154-168 "
This is manny-weight all over again.
I dont support manufactured fighters, I prefer guys who will fight anyone.Comment

If Cotto wins he is going to fight either Floyd or GGG. It just won't be at 160. Other than a Canelo rematch there isn't anything else out there for him.Comment

Yet you support Ward who just fought a 168 guy at 172 and wanted a 160 pounder to move up to 168 and won't fight a champion at 175. And Floyd who held the 154 pound title that he won at 152 for two years with no defense....please.When Golovkin said " anyone from 154-168 " what he meant was.....

No, that would be a duck, plain and simple.I expect Cotto to get crushed by GGG wtf... I think GGG is a great fighter which is why he should move up and challenge himself.
Where in my post does GGG accepting or not accepting a CW have to do with the outcome? I'm just saying he'd be a moron to pass up a Cotto fight it's at 159 instead of 160. He would have to be a complete moron, truly. Title or not that win puts him into a different level of star power.
If GGG refuses a reasonable catchweight with Cotto, then he ducked him.
* " anyone from 154-168 " ~ Gennady Golovkin
* " I can make 154 " ~ Gennady Golovkin
* " I got no problem with catchweights " ~ Gennady Golovkin
156 sounds fine.Comment

Thats what I'm saying, Cotto already said every MW fight will be at CW.
Its lame, but its in print.
It looks to me like Team Golovkin dont actually want to fight Cotto, it looks like they would prefer to fight some bum for a vacant title.
They are all about paper trinkets and worthless accolades.
Nothing to see here.Comment
