Floyd fought Cotto at 154, but made Canelo drop to 152.

Does that mean Floyd now owes a CW to the next guy who asks him for one?

GGG being willing to fight Froch and Jr at 168, but not Ward, is completely irrelevant to the situation at 160, where Cotto and Canelo are about to fight for a world title and GGG is mando for the winner.

If Ward wants to fight GGG at 168 he will have to wait till Golovkin is ready to move up. Meantime, Kovalev has said he's ready whenever Andre is.

If you ask me, both Ward and GGG's team say some really ****** things in the media.

      I don't think it's a reflection on either guy's softness or hardness.
GGG said anybody from 154-168. Ward came knocking a while ago and they said no. GGG had done everything right after that until the Chavez and Froch ****. He has un finished business at 160 while Ward is done at 168. He's basically just waiting for Golovkin like a fool. He needs to move up more than Golovkin does. The **** is, he killed himself asking for the 164 pound cw only for Ward. It's hard for ppl to see that then hear u cry about another guy doing the same thing to u. I felt bad for Cotto for having to fight Manny at 145 but then he did it himself so now I have to keep u mouth shut on cw bull****.

Ward said he's move up after the super six and said on ESPN that he could beat Klitschko?
Why doesn't he do it and shut up about it when he (his team) is acting the same?

They both do it dude. It's just idle ****** talk. Literally every half way famous boxer does it.

I don't see how you can call one guy out on it and not the other.

We should just agree they are both of full of ****.

No it really doesnt matter what the circumstances are. It only matters to those of you who want to defend said fighter who requested the catch weight. The reality is its not against the rules and its up to the fighter to accept or decline. I am one of the people who would love to see championship fights not allow catch weights, but in reality it doesnt really matter. As I said it only matters to those of you who want to defend one fighter and bash another.

And your guess is wrong as is your post, I want Cotto to fight GGG, catch weight or not. So please do not act as if you know me, I have been one of the most un-bias posters on this damn site.

That's bull****. CWs for fights between boxers in different weight divisions are an accepted part of the sport and always have been. But a champion asking for a CW from his mandatory challenger is unheard of, and should never happen.

That is what I think but if the WBC sanctions and approves it, it can be for a belt unfortunately.

Didn't the WBC say Geale could weigh more than 157 and still win the title?
It would be up to Cotto's team then to call off the fight if Geale didn't meet the contract stipulations.

ward said he would fight anyone at 175 years ago. everyone talks big. what matters is who is fighting the best in their division. is it ggg or ward? lets see ggg is fighting 2 belt holders in his next 2 fights while ward turned down bute, stevenson, froch 2, and degale while trying to fight caleb truax, sartison, and paul smith.

cotto and ggg are both champs in the same division. ggg and ward are champs in different division. its not the same thing. when ggg and ward are both 168 champs and ggg asks for a catchweight then i would agree with you.

Bro I'm agreeing that everyone is pulling "b1tch" "diva" moves at this point. GGG fan boys won't admit it though and cry about other fighters doing the same **** he's doing.
