Then why doesn't he fight over there instead of having leffer beg hbo for tv time here

Let's see if he takes the purse split they are going to give him. The fight has to make financial sense for the A-side Canelo.

Don't know where you get your info from, but you are way off the mark. Cotto - Martinez at MSG had an attendance of 21,090. See link: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/cotto-vs...-left-in-tank/

As a matter of fact, Cotto's appearances at MSG have set all-time attendance records. Gennady Golvkin drew 8,572 for his Daniel Geale fight at MSG.

yea but i don't live in the past. i'm talking about the present and cotto's last fight at the garden did 12k. the same amount ggg did vs monroe and ggg is well no his way to beating cotto's past records anyway so yes he's a bigger draw. deal with it.

Like I said before check your references before you post. That 12,000 attendance you are referring to is Barkley Center, Brooklyn, NY, not MSG! That's the first time Cotto fought there at the Barkley Center and he still did more than Golovkin did at MSG. Golovkin has his following, but he will never outdraw Miguel Cotto in NY. No bull****, just the facts!

And you think that Cotto alone made the 21k? Martinez was a big star too.

i'm just comparing total attendance not location. if we want to compare location ggg is on his way to outselling cotto at msg so yes that would make him a bigger draw now wouldn't it? he's already on a record pace what are you going to say when he sells more? cotto sold more back in 1972 or some crap?

Cotto has sold out the Garden 10 times straight, his last sell out at the Garden was last year, your a true to life dimwit. GGG will have to sell out the garden 11 times to beat Cotto, lmao, and Cotto will most likely fight there one or two more times before he hangs em up, which will both undoubtedly be sell outs. And like I tell Khan fans, international commodities mean nothing in America, Froch is a much bigger star then GGG overseas, yet Froch is not considered a draw here. Since the big money and popularity are in America, Cotto is arguably the 3rd biggest draw here and GGG ain't even in the top 10.
