$6.5mill is a lot, but this fight for Alvarez was worth so much more. This gives me doubts about a rematch now. After Alvarez beats Cotto, no way will he accept that ratio again unless it's in his favor. And I doubt Cotto agrees to a rematch for less than he made the first time around.

Either way kudos to Alvarez for making it happen and giving in to the diva. He might as well go out and destroy Cotto rather than worry about preserving him for a 2nd fight.

Canelos really confident, good for both sides unless canelo loses. Cottos had a great career already so win or lose he gets paid. I Canelo wins he"ll make money sooner rather than later but if he loses he"ll have to build up a bit again.
