golovkin is a soon-to-be unified champion and top 10 p4per at the height of his powers, two full divisions above floyd's optimal one. hypothetically, if mayweather were to beat him it would be a huge deal. but he's not going to fight him, and nor should he be expected to, so this is all academic anyway
Nah, I don't think it would.

Depends. A lot can happen in between. Ask me when the fight is made.

He's in the P4P top 4, he's the no1 fighter 30 lbs. north of where Floyd started pro at and the heir apparent to the lineal MW crown. He's kinda a big deal bro.

He's a good fighter. But his resume is mediocre. And that's really all I care about.

I said GGG has a good resume and has beaten some tough fighters, some who were undefeated and some who were world champions/challengers.
I never said you did, I just said his resume is thin

He never beat a champion to become WBA champ.....he beat a washed up Kassim Ouma, and Daniel Geale

his resume isn't that good for a 33 year old with 33 fights and all the hype

15 title defenses in a row is indeed pretty good In my opinion

unfortunately his time in germany was virtually wasted, but his resume is solid since he landed in the states. he's wiped out everyone in his division that was willing to face him. but as his profile rises his level of opposition does too. it's clear that he's the goods, hence contemporaneous titlists like sturm, martinez and cotto ducked him like the plague. alvarez may have time on his side, but i doubt he will end up as the more fondly remembered fighter when all's said and done - especially considering that in 2016 he's either gonna get his lights put out by ggg or be forced to rid**** bowe his brand new belt
