I assume the guy is elite.

I know fcuk all about MMA, but unless Mayweather has a size advantage he likely has very little chance against an elite MMA pro.
    He's 5'9 145

MMA fans refer to it as "real fighting" when there are rules. Its not "real, REAL" fighting.

Boxing purists like you said only come out to defend their favorite boxer who can't score a KO. Henry Armstrong, ATG boxer, doesn't fight anything like Lara or Mayweather. He's still a boxer fighting within the confines of boxing rules.

In the end, they're two different sports and both fans of their respective sports are fickle as hell when it comes down to it. Fans of both sports need to respect their sport as it is.

You can take Anderson Silva, one of UFC's proclaimed greatest strikers, and he would get whooped by 9 fights Artur Beterbiev.

Put Beterbiev in the Octagon and he gets manslaughtered.

What's the issue? What's the point in arguing this? To stroke one's own ego because you'll die for your sport but won't step into the sport.

I myself never compare the two. It's like comparing am Olympic sprinter to a decathlete.

It would be bigger than this joke of a berto fight that's for sure. Mcgregor is a beast. He's exciting as hell in and out of the octagon.

As a boxing fan I hope a superstar emerges soon to compete with mcgregor and rousey's stardom.

He cuts insane amount of weight doe. I read he walks around at high 160's to 170 something. He's huge for that weight class.
