Prove yourself isn't the same thing as hating, taking it that way shows he hasn't made it. Why? Because when people say Cotto is a p*ssy we say look at his resume and it's proven false and hate or trolling. When people say GGG has to prove himself, if his fans say look at his resume, it's factual not hate.Comment

If that were the case they would have jumped on the Ward fight. They didn't.I've always believed that K2's plan for GGG is not to earn the big money by chasing fights with "names" like Cotto and Canelo, but to turn GGG into a PPV star and a "name" in his own right.
If he beats Lemieux and then adds the WBC belt to his collection that aim will be achieved. Whether he fights Cotto or Canelo for that WBC belt won't matter, in the long term.Comment

do you not understand that different fights warrant different concessions? Do you think Cotto would give GGG the same money split that he is giving Canelo? Of course not, because its a different fight, with different leverage, and different considerations. If Cotto does not offer GGG the same split Canelo is getting, does that mean Cotto is a duck? No. It simply means its a different fight, with different details. Chavez and Froch brought MONEY to the dance, so a catchweight was a non-starter. Ward brings nothing at all to the dance, so GGG is the one with the leverage.
hate??? He'll fight Froch & Chavez Jr at 168 but Ward at 164. But he supposedly can fight ANYONE 154-168. "Nobody wants to fight us"... but they turn down fights cuz it won't make financial sense...
So the supposed killer uses high risk/low reward scenarios...
That's not hate... it's called they got caught being hypocrites.
I am on record many times with my disgust of catchweights, period. If GGG-Ward were to ever happen, I hope it would be at 168, so the Ward stans would have no excuses afterwards. That being said, if K2-GGG want to use weight as a negotiating tool to get more money, or the venue of choice, then im fine with that, as long as the fight itself ends up at 168.
But sadly we do not know where the negotiations could have went, because Ward/Roc never countered. K2 threw out 50-50 revenue split at 164 as a first offer, and that was the end of it. Crickets from Ward. No reply. No counter offer, NADA. So nobody knows what might have come of it.Last edited by OnePunch; 08-11-2015, 10:47 AM.Comment

People have explained it to you several times, its not our problem that you aren't even able to get the most basic and obvious explication. Dumb and dumber, seriously.Comment
