You're just a hater, your avatar is proof. Danny gets gift decisions, the guy has a better resume than any other Haymon fighter. You're just a sheep following what people say with an inability to judge for yourself.Comment

I have to agree, I think if Cotto beats Canelo, he won't touch GGG with a 10 foot pole. Hope I'm wrong but it makes no sense for him.Comment

do you not understand that different fights warrant different concessions? Do you think Cotto would give GGG the same money split that he is giving Canelo? Of course not, because its a different fight, with different leverage, and different considerations. If Cotto does not offer GGG the same split Canelo is getting, does that mean Cotto is a duck? No. It simply means its a different fight, with different details. Chavez and Froch brought MONEY to the dance, so a catchweight was a non-starter. Ward brings nothing at all to the dance, so GGG is the one with the leverage.
I am on record many times with my disgust of catchweights, period. If GGG-Ward were to ever happen, I hope it would be at 168, so the Ward stans would have no excuses afterwards. That being said, if K2-GGG want to use weight as a negotiating tool to get more money, or the venue of choice, then im fine with that, as long as the fight itself ends up at 168.
But sadly we do not know where the negotiations could have went, because Ward/Roc never countered. K2 threw out 50-50 revenue split at 164 as a first offer, and that was the end of it. Crickets from Ward. No reply. No counter offer, NADA. So nobody knows what might have come of it.
Again, don't forget GGG is the supposed killer & has difficulties getting fights. Why would they even turn down fights & ask for catchweights... whether Froch & Chavez Jr bring more money than Ward is an excuse plain & simple.Comment

keep defending the Ward catchweight...
All this hate for CWs when Cotto, Floyd, Pac etc use it... but GGG gets a pass. Pathetic.Comment

It's not cool, agree, but at least he's not a constant CW abuser like that shameless paper champ Cotto, who demands CWs when defending his title against soso compComment

He only asked for a CW for Geale while defending. Against Canelo, he's doing the ginger the favor going down to his personal weightclass.Comment

Did K2 say "164 or no fight"? No, they did not say that. They threw out a first offer of "50-50 at 164" that was not countered or replied to in any way by Ward/Roc.
Arent you the least bit curious as to why there was no counter offer? Why didnt Ward reply with "50-50 at 168"? Instead all we got was cricketsComment
