Peter Quillin to fight Michael Zerafa

Haymon is clearly trying to smear the good name of Petey with this matchup in order to make Jacobs the more likeable/sellable side when they do eventually meet.
He's still upset he couldn't beat LeeComment

Not to mention that Quillin could not even make weight for the fight which took the title out of play. That was an embarrassment I thought would be hard to top for Quillin, but lo and behold!, the guy has managed to do it by fighting a Chippendale! What has Jacobs done to make you believe he's better than guys like Murray, Geale and hell, even guys like Macklin? Got KO'd by Pirog, dropped by Sergio Mora and barely squeaked by Ishe Smith? I just don't see a very good fighter when I watch him fight and I've been watching him since he was just an up & comer, I keep waiting for him to improve but it just hasn't happened. He is what he is at this point.
Regarding Lee, Quillin didn't beat him! He got a draw in a fight where both fighters were terrified to throw any punches. Quillin doesn't get much credit for earning a draw against the guy.Comment

Name a Golovkin year that would better. I wouldn't use that year to put Quillin into an ATG conversation (which Golovkin fans have done with less), but it'd **** on any year put forward by Golovkin (if he was able to end up beating Jacobs).
2015: Murray, Monroe Jr, Lemieux
2014: Adama, Geale, Rubio
2013: Rosado, Ishida, Macklin, Stevens
2012: Fuchigami, Proksa
2011: Ouma, Simon
Laugh about the "playboy bunny" stuff all you want, that's the fight that Quillin is likely sandwiching between two fights against actual top competition (Cotto/Golovkin/Quillin/Lee are the clear top 4 fighters at 160 and Jacobs is somewhere in that second class of top 10 fighters)Comment
