note: the sig bit is getting on my nerves.

Mayweather-Berto, for all the critique put on the fight, will still have Martinez-Salido II, Jack-Groves and a third fight on the undercard. On top of that, you get a so-so fight (Vanes-Smith) during the hype for the show for the cost of your Showtime subscription, in addition to a doubleheader to start the afternoon on NBC (or NBCSN, as the channel hasn't been made clear).

Floyd has basically been stacking his undercards since he became free to dictate his own career, which was the point I was making.

I tried to stay on the fence and look for the positive side of this PBC stuff, but I am not seeing a positive side.
      Couldn't even call Feltcher....

How is this guy even on Quillin's radar? He's had 4 scheduled 10 round fights in his career & the one guy he fought that was a respectable guy, he lost 29 of the 30 scored rounds against. This guy should be sparring Quillin & fighting journeymen or being put in vs prospects like himself not fighting a guy who arguably still could be a champion under the sketchy & corrupt rules of an alphabet group & is still of championship caliber. There are plenty of 160 guys to throw him in with unaffiliated or under PBC that would be better selections for Quillin's resume that are still beatable for Quillin if they wanna give him a softer touch as the power brokers in boxing tend to do. Or how bout this, stay out of the ring an extra 2 months & lets just have Quillin vs Jacobs in Oct. instead of the probably currently penciled in date of Dec./Jan.
        for it.

I'm no matchmaking genius, but PBC could hire me to make more interesting fights even of the non-threatening variety they are trying to line up for Quillin here to setup the Jacobs fight than whoever is currently doing this job. Balls in your court PBC. I need to work from home, a $300 per week per diem for delivery food & just $40k/year.
Who would you put Quillin in with for September 12th as the co-feature to an afternoon show on NBC/NBCSN? one possible name would be fine (understanding that the believed plan is to stage Quillin-Jacobs next come the late Fall/early Winter).

Not jumping for joy about the matchup, but it's a stay busy fight and Zerafa, from only seeing the Mogamedov(sp?) fight, seems to be decent enough for a stay busy fight.

You can take a 'stay busy' fight when you fight three or four times a year like GGG. When you fight once or twice, you have no right to take a stay busy fight. Quillin has gone from a possible 'superfight' against GGG to a so called 'superfight' against Jacobs. That is not a superfight, it's a school yard tussle. And he isn't even getting that done, he is fighting an unknown.

But it's free!!!!! Yeah, you get what you pay for. Unless it's a Mayweather fight.

I just wanna know what the logic is behind picking Zerafa... so random.

Sam Soliman, Jarod Fletcher... even Les Sherington who got pwnd by Soliman
Those are all pretty safe fights over this kid....

It could also mean that Haymon reaches his fingers to the far reaches of the globe, in a tireless effort to find a suitable opponent for his young prodigy.

^^^ Sorry I could not type that out till the end without laughing

I'm still trying to figure out how they even got to him.... I thought James De La Rosa was a joke..... but he's better than Zefara.... who I have no idea how they even got him

Can't remember ever seeing such pathetic fighters like Quillin, Stevenson and Santa Cruz. Such an embarrassment to the sport
