Also, have you watched Berto lately, the fighter that lost to Soto Karass and was losing to joseito Lopez is just, plainly said, not that good. that's why he's unranked by most legitimate rankings and 22nd by boxrec. Spin all you want - its a bad choice, especialy when you're gonna charge $75 for the privilege of watching you beat someone that is a 40-1 underdog
Berto was never a cherry picker. His criticism was that he was overpaid for the level of opposition he was fighting.

I agree, lets not pretend that Diego Chaves or Collazo or Alexander wouldn't be just as bad. but Thurman, Garcia, Porter. Khan or Brook would all be waaay better than Berto. don't see how you could argue otherwise

this guy must doesn't know Berto defended his title against a prime Collazo not the 35 year old guy Khan beat....berto is also a 2 time welterweight titleholder

Khan aint done that at welterweight....he has been playing it safe fighting non-punchers since the Garcia loss

at least berto goes out on his shield and always gives his all.....soon as Khan gets hit clean he either gets hurt or jumps on his bike

Berto also blitzed Carlos Quintana before Thurman beat a washed up version

Man, people really hate mayweather....these guys bash anyone he fights

I don't like word cherry-picker. Lets just say he was not applauded for the strength of his opposition, whereas, according to you, that is the main reason why he deserves this fight

skill wise, i dont see a huge gap in talent.. just being honest. i see porter vs berto as a war. i dont look at porter as elite. sloppy tackling vs bertos uppercut, thats a good fight.

So Ring, Transnational and Box rec are all wrong too? as they have him unranked, unranked, and ranked #22.

I didn't say Porter was elite - just more deserving than Berto. His win over Broner is more impressive than anything Berto has done in 4 years, no? He has 3 wins in less than 2 years against fighters who were ranked top 10 in weight class at the time. berto has 0

Old Mayweather is definitely scared of young Khan.

When Khan moved up I was as many were concerned about his punch resistance as we all know what happened in the two lighter divisions and with Amir it's one excuse after another so we can only go on what's happened ...the facts.
Amir says that his punch resistance has got better with weight but as you would have seen against feather fisted Algieri he was more than stunned on a couple of occasions. Can you not picture Floyd timing Khan as he runs in throwing his combo's ? or do you think that Floyd has not got this talent ?
I don't think Berto is anything to get excited about but I do feel he's tested lots more at the weight and will be able to stay in there much longer than I ever thought Khan would ..........I think Khan v Floyd would be just embarrassing.
Let's be serious here Khan handpicked Algieri and it back fired this was HIS statement fight and it went wrong, had Floyd picked Khan don't you think the same people would be saying how could he ?
Khan now needs to get in this mix ....it's been along time .
