This guy looks me ...but to make you geek better here's 2 facts Floyd fight Castillo with a real torn rotator cuff ...you can actually see him getting rubbed down and complaining unlike that other fraud ...Castillo could've been easily been called a draw ...or went either way...there's 1 or 2 off balls in the pros who think PAC won ...98 percent of their peers , media outlets , and non *******s know it was one of Floyd's easiest fights at 38...at 36 (pacs age) he was fighting bigger maidana and caneloComment

beterbiev has an "advisory" (aka lubes up the rules with money and arranges fights with bums) agreement haymon and his promoter GYM (Groupe Yvon Michel) has basically become the al haymon subsidiary in canada
yes he's involved
why are you weirdos such fans of a guy who does not box
do you run up to random costco sales managers and ask for their autographComment

yeah that was the narrative of why he wants kovalev ASAP and wants to prove it was no fluke etc etc etc
then when the fight is offered he suddenly changes his mind
haymon pays his guys to not take fights until the time is right, it's not some big secret, look up peter quillin turning down a career high payday because al had other plans
perhaps he's not "scared" like a teenage girl but he and yvon/haymon obviously isn't very confident in his chances of victory either, they're taking the let it simmer like it's my last fight approach
kovalev is the opposite and has risen to the top of his division by fighting (formerly) bigger names for peanutsLast edited by ////; 08-06-2015, 02:31 AM.Comment

I would love to see this fight, but this situation clearly shows how desperate Kovalev's people are for any meaningful fight. The fact that he's hounding a 9-0 guy and his team is pissed off that a 9-0 guy won't fight them. I can't remember any other time where a promoter with a unified 175-pound champion, a guy with 3 belts, is furious because a 9-0 guy who in all respects is still a prospect, won't fight them because he wants another fight to prepare. The problem is, his promoter locked him in to this HBO deal with no opponents ready to go. Why else would he be fighting on a date in November in Moscow, Russia with no American TV?Comment

That's the rule, the way of things if they negotiate and can't make a decision --> pursue bid.
Seriously some people act here like GYM should just lay down to HBO without any saying and let them make the fight.
That's not how things work.
If Kovalev would be in Beterbiev's position and vica versa then o this forum everybody and their mommas would blame Haymon for tie Beterbiev up and probably not let him to fight on HBO if it goes to pursue bid.
But now that you think HBO wouldn't let him fight on PBC if Haymon would win the pursue bid it's all good and sensible and it's GYM's/Haymon's fault again.
Mindfuck.
When Quillin dropped his belt because RN won the pursue bid everybody went at him and Haymon (rightfully so) but if HBO pulls the same move with Kovalev they will be just the poor victims of the evil Haymon/GYM who wanted to go for pursue bid a.k.a. play by the rules. While it would be almost the same damn situation.
It's ludicrous.
Why the **** HBO can't let Kovalev to fight on PBC for one fight? They re not bigger than the rules. Pursue bid > their beloved network deals. Same rules apply to Haymon.
If HBO makes Kovalev to vacate then they are not better by an inch than Haymon.Comment
