No, I'm calling out the entity that is actually causing the fights not to happen-HBO. I am also still watching HBO while criticizing them for this. I am also watching fighters of all promoters.
The problem is posters that have decided to only watch one network and place blame where it doesn't belong.
Besides, everyone knows I hate ODH and take jabs at him like that. I still watch fights he puts on.Comment

Al Haymon on the other hand has trampled all over boxing, I cannot support this wheeler-dealer over people who are responsible for so much good in this sport.Comment

Hey man, the way I view it, if the champ gives you a chance to fight for three titles and you're a contender, you take it. Not waiting for some purse bid to min/max your profits, you snatch the opportunity, how many times does this happen? Beterbiev and his team ****ed up, they had their chance and they blew it.Comment

It is about money dude. HBO lowered its boxing budget so fighters affiliated with HBO have a lower earning ceiling than non HBO boxers.
HBO allowed Kov/Duva to petition the WBC to be the mando. they got it. There was no way a deal could be reached because of HBO's budget reductions. A monkey could figure out this was going to a purse bid.
HBO is trying to deflate the market. Why does Haymon or anyone have to abide by this?
He is operating within the rules, he isn't doing anything illegal. He is doing the same thing HBO is doing-trying to get things on their terms.
You didn't answer-what would you do if you were Haymon?
If it's Haymon - which is what you are assuming here and in your other comments on this topic - then he definitely is not operating within the rules and may indeed be doing something illegal. The courts will decide about that.Comment

OK, then tell HBO to fix the issue same as they did with GBP. He has no issue with Roc Nation-he had a lawsuit with beyonce/jayz in another industry.
he has no new belts created so WTF are you talking about?
The choice is watching boxing on all channels or only watching it on one. If your choice is HBO, so be it.
Purse bids make fights happen.
Fights like Kovalev/Stevenson?
Most title fights happen without purse bids, because the promoters negotiate a deal with each other. The way Haymon operates though, nobody knows who the hell to negotiate with to make a fight with one of his boxers.
Do they negotiate with Haymon, or the boxers nominal promoter? Or maybe Waddell & Reed are the guys they should be talking to.Comment
