If his master plan as you call it succeeds and he takes over boxing as you opine, then I expect you will no longer watch. So I figure you will be looking for a new sport and MMA seems like your kind of sport-one owner, one network, low paid employees.

The problem is posters that have decided to only watch one network and place blame where it doesn't belong.

Besides, everyone knows I hate ODH and take jabs at him like that. I still watch fights he puts on.
HBO is not causing these fights not to happen. Both Stevenson and Beterbiev are welcome to make career high money on HBO vs Kovalev. But in some imaginary world they could be making more money, so they'd rather pass and fight for less

Because HBO is the best, for many many years they've supplied us with so many great fights, they've made history in this sport. I love HBO. Not saying I don't love Showtime as well, they're also a great network.

Al Haymon on the other hand has trampled all over boxing, I cannot support this wheeler-dealer over people who are responsible for so much good in this sport.

Hey man, the way I view it, if the champ gives you a chance to fight for three titles and you're a contender, you take it. Not waiting for some purse bid to min/max your profits, you snatch the opportunity, how many times does this happen? Beterbiev and his team ****ed up, they had their chance and they blew it.

HBO is trying to deflate the market. Why does Haymon or anyone have to abide by this?

He is operating within the rules, he isn't doing anything illegal. He is doing the same thing HBO is doing-trying to get things on their terms.

You didn't answer-what would you do if you were Haymon?
Who is Stevenson's promoter - Yvon Michel or Al Haymon?

If it's Haymon - which is what you are assuming here and in your other comments on this topic - then he definitely is not operating within the rules and may indeed be doing something illegal. The courts will decide about that.

The choice is watching boxing on all channels or only watching it on one. If your choice is HBO, so be it.

              Purse bids make fights happen.

              Fights like Kovalev/Stevenson?

Most title fights happen without purse bids, because the promoters negotiate a deal with each other. The way Haymon operates though, nobody knows who the hell to negotiate with to make a fight with one of his boxers.

Do they negotiate with Haymon, or the boxers nominal promoter? Or maybe Waddell & Reed are the guys they should be talking to.
