The rematch clause isn't the hold up after all, its just they know that Canelo isn't a one kneed 40 year old coming off a year layoff or a one eyed Margacheato or a C level fighter they can cherry pick. They are looking for a way out of a fight they don't want and HBO is forcing them to take.

I don't have to believe in one over the other...

1st the other day ODH said that EVERYTHING was agreed on and that the only thing they were waiting for was Gaby Penagaricano on some agreement over the purse split for the supposed rematch...

Come to find out... that's not even why the fight is being held up. ODH, the secondary promoter here (since roc nation is the lead promoter), does not want roc nation's black ring & Cotto doesn't see the rematch as an issue. As a matter of fact, he's not even interested in the rematch.

So..... it's ODH who was caught lying about what's going on.
