So what you're telling me is that people would rather see rondas 34 second fight, rather than watch a pbc card? Interesting.

A UFC main card DOES NOT start at 7PM. Where the hell you get this info from? Stop spreading bs around.

Ronda is a hype machine. She was a -1600 favorite going into the fight, people still were stoked to see it..

I know it is very early days but the ratings on all these shows seem less than impressive. Does anyone know of a list of all the ratings from all the PBC shows?

Not true you might at best had about 10 mins of the UFC PPV start time by the time Paulie fight was stopped. If you wanted to watch both you easily could of. And most people don't buy the PPV the moment it starts. And most UFC or Boxing PPV's don't go straight into the fights they have some talking and hyping up the event before the first undercard fight. PBC got killed not by the UFC PPV but by the Prelim basically the undercard to the undercard fights. Fights where guys are making what like 20K or something ridiculous. Compared to the amount PBC just paid for it's fighters this is a huge failure. The fighters on the UFC PPV might not of even made as much as PBC just paid it's fighters.

Have you ever watched a major UFC event? Most people go to BWW, or Hooters. To get a spot, you have to go well before the main card starts, like a few prelim fights before. And of course you have to drive there, etc. It's very tough to see both

Considering that's the average for a premium network broadcast (give or take), which is a premium network, this #freeboxing4all is not working out as it should. The numbers, based on viewership alone, are not bad; they are decent (also considering Rousey was fighting the same night).

However, the strategy/purpose behind PBC was to double / triple the amount of exposure boxing would get trusting the premise that if you'd put it on "free" public networks, it would get way more attention due to the major accessibility to these channels; which hasn't been the case at all. And you'd make up for the investment with commercials, which you thought you would charge more for because of the higher audience/traffic.

Again, this has also failed so far, and it makes me wonder how much longer will this experiment go on before either A)Heading back to premium network or B) Start making PPVs. This kind of explains why Haymon still keeps an open relationship with CBS/Showtime and both companies promote each other on their showings. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Just imagine what happens when it's football season which owns weekend ratings. I think ESPN got higher ratings with Stiverne vs Arreola and that had a fraction of the costs of either Thurman vs Collazo or Garcia vs Paulie cards. They also got a weak live gate this weekend only 7K. PBC is just throwing money out the window at this point.
One thing that reportedly will happen during football season is ESPN will move PBC cards to other days during the week.

Prelims are not even the undercard fights. Prelims is the undercard of the undercard.

The numbers are good but when you have UFC PRELIMS doing better numbers then it's not good.
I read and did comprehend the article. Perhaps you could try not being an asshat. What I mean is Ronda is a big draw to the point where I knew plenty of people having parties to watch UFC. They had UFC playing throughout the night including prelims. I missed the first few UFC fights (not prelims but undercard) because I waited until after Garcia and Paulie. I'm sure there are plenty of people who went to parties earlier and skipped boxing. Don't get me wrong the numbers aren't anything to celebrate, but Rousey is a big draw that gets people talking. I would guarantee that Rousey vs Tate 3 would see more than Pacquiao vs Vargas.
