what good fights are you referring to? The majority of PBC matches have been predictable and 1 sided, the Warren-Payano bout was the most compelling thus far to me.

The PBC card that tanked a few weeks before it's because it went head to head with Golf, before that well it went head to head with tennis. Then the excuse is it's summer and everyone is out during the summer. But when the ratings were bad before the summer people complain it's going head to head against NBA and NHL. I can't wait to hear the excuses once it's fall and there are College football. The issue has more to do with the lack of quality of PBC fights then it does the other sports.

So far PBC loses badly when it goes head to head with UFC, HBO, Golf, Tennis, NBA, NHL or any other major sport. Just imagine what happens when it's football season which owns weekend ratings. I think ESPN got higher ratings with Stiverne vs Arreola and that had a fraction of the costs of either Thurman vs Collazo or Garcia vs Paulie cards. They also got a weak live gate this weekend only 7K. PBC is just throwing money out the window at this point.

Prelims are not even the undercard fights. Prelims is the undercard of the undercard.
The numbers are good but when you have UFC PRELIMS doing better numbers then it's not good.

Decent number for ESPN. I think PBC will take it and run..

These fights, no matter how mismatched they are, will continue to reap fair numbers. It's human nature to hope for something different to happen. It's called hoping against hope. Exactly the same reason why Salka did good numbers also.
