what good fights are you referring to? The majority of PBC matches have been predictable and 1 sided, the Warren-Payano bout was the most compelling thus far to me.

That's the problem one week PBC tanks in the ratings and Haymon fans say well it went head to head with UFC. But it didn't go head to head with the PPV which started after PBC was over it went head to head with the prelim fight (that's a bad sign lol )

The PBC card that tanked a few weeks before it's because it went head to head with Golf, before that well it went head to head with tennis. Then the excuse is it's summer and everyone is out during the summer. But when the ratings were bad before the summer people complain it's going head to head against NBA and NHL. I can't wait to hear the excuses once it's fall and there are College football. The issue has more to do with the lack of quality of PBC fights then it does the other sports.

Meh, Rousey is probably the 3rd biggest draw in combat sports only behind Mayweather and Pacquaio. And honestly at this point she might be a bigger PPV draw than Pacquaio.

So far PBC loses badly when it goes head to head with UFC, HBO, Golf, Tennis, NBA, NHL or any other major sport. Just imagine what happens when it's football season which owns weekend ratings. I think ESPN got higher ratings with Stiverne vs Arreola and that had a fraction of the costs of either Thurman vs Collazo or Garcia vs Paulie cards. They also got a weak live gate this weekend only 7K. PBC is just throwing money out the window at this point.

Read the article, comprehend it, then learn what prelims in the UFC are. Prelims had nothing to do with Ronda. If people wanted to watch Ronda, they wouldnt be watching the prelims.

Prelims are not even the undercard fights. Prelims is the undercard of the undercard.

The numbers are good but when you have UFC PRELIMS doing better numbers then it's not good.

Reruns of cops beats out most sports programming.

Decent number for ESPN. I think PBC will take it and run..

The UFC main card started at 7PM PST. That's basically the same time Paulie-Garcia started. It went head-to-head with the UFC.

The Rousey PPV does not have to appear at the same time to interfere with the numbers. There are 24 hours in the day: if someone will spend a few hours on the MMA card, they might be less inclined to spend a few hours on a boxing card.

These fights, no matter how mismatched they are, will continue to reap fair numbers. It's human nature to hope for something different to happen. It's called hoping against hope. Exactly the same reason why Salka did good numbers also.
