Can't blame Haymon for mismatches. Everytime his boys step up a bit, they get blasted and their hype plummets. One more strike for Broner, for example, he's gone, gone, gone. Expect his next fight to be with another sweet potato again.

You'd think that Maidana vs Thurman would have happened a long time ago. But Haymon is powerless doe. Chino is ducking.

I think the whole point of PBC is to showcase stars, not necessarily stars fighting stars. Look at the way they announce them, Wilder back in so and so date vs TBA, Garcia vs TBA in October, etc. That's how Espinoza got the whole scheme when he was with Haymon.

Problem is that sooner or later Haymon runs out of Collazo type opponents for his boys and he needs more of them.

LOL, but you're not wrong. Broner was given the directions to stardom & he failed to fulfill his obligation. If Broner had beaten Maidana there is no telling where he'd be right now.

Although the thing is most guys fail on their way to super stardom so its not an unexpected thing. You gotta capture the publics imagination + win the fights + do it entertainingly enough to keep people wanting to see more. Broner pretty much did the first early on, he was doing the third cuz he was the most watched guy & might still be idk I haven't looked into other cats numbers lately, but he failed on the second one.

There are only a few stars in boxing at any given time though. I mean right now its Mayweather (Haymon/Showtime, suppose you could argue he's a PBC guy without actually fighting on PBC), Pacquiao (TR/HBO), Cotto (RocNation/HBO) & Canelo (GBP/HBO). I suppose you could argue the pros & cons of others being stars, but I think these 4 are the unarguable stars right now.

I know, right? Now we care about the Ali Act. Why would a fan give a **** if Haymon is a promoter or advisor? Why? What fighter is complaining about this?

They are putting more fights out than other years before with the other promoters and networks. Plus they are in multi networks, it is only the beginning so they is a slight learning curve of the market which they are trying to expand.

You cannot blame them if the fighters don't make the fight interesting for the masses. Some of the match ups have been solid. This is better than anything that TR, Goldenboy or other promoter have done with they fighters or putting up shows on a consistent basis

I like how haymon is getting guys paid but i dont like how he's holding up a ****load of good fights.

My username is just to irritate people. And confuse them by having this name and writing positive things about GGG and Kovalev incomprehensible for the average NSB dweller.
