PBC sucks, is terrible for boxing and I hope it implodes under the weight of it's own

Haymon's on fire with this PBC stuff. Hot garbage on free TV, or in some cases "bounce tv" lulz

Its like they want to stop it before they see if it can make it. Why are they afraid of competition?

Five months and I sense despair.

        Thurman-Guerrero
        Lee-Quillin
        Garcia-Peterson
        Khan-Algieri
        Porter-Broner
        Chavez-Fonfara
        Dirrell-DeGale

Those are off the top of my head and I enjoyed almost all of them.

Fucking Mares vs. Santa Cruz is going down in a matter of weeks! Imagine if this was a GBP/Top Rank/HBO production. They would be ****riding the **** out of that fight.

          I hate network fanboys man.

Stars build themselves. If Adrien Broner took his career more seriously or at least as talented as he thinks he is he would be a star now with how he's been moved. You can't force a star. That **** just happens. And I think you could say "whos the next Mayweather or Pacquiao" towards any entity in the sport & people would shrug saying they don't know, but hype this guy or that guy.

The biggest issue in my opinion is one of the reasons why their ratings keep diving. There's no consistency with their shows. They fight on a plethora of networks, on different days of the week and at different times. I can barely keep up with it and I doubt the average casual fan can. Would have been smarter to obtain his own tv network just for his shows. This way he can have a solid foundation and fans across the board will now where to tune in to catch these fights. Have a specific time and day of the week and establish it. With HBO, we know that if there's a fight on, its more than likely taking place on a Sat night around 9-10pm ET. Same with Showtime. PBC is just all over the place and has no structure.
Legit problem. I think they are just seeing what sticks right now. Or they are just taking a very aggressive approach at conquering all the TV avenues they can so in 2 years when you're a prospect or just a non-HBO caliber fighter & you gotta be with PBC or be an HBO caliber guy to get on TV more promising younger & solid guys will be more apt to switch to PBC.

Lastly, the PBC brand needs a face. You think of GBP you automatically think of Oscar Delahoya. Same for TR and Bob Arum. You think of UFC you think of Dana White. PBC has no name/brand recognition because there's no face behind it. This is where Haymon should have used Floyd. Floyd while hated is known and could have done wonders for helping build the PBC brand.
I've been saying this for a couple months now. I suspect when Richard's non-compete clause is over he'll be this guy. Why there isn't a placeholder already idk. Maybe cuz we are only 4 months into PBC & Richard will be in his spot by the end of the year anyway idk. If Richard hasn't made a commitment in private with Haymon to take this role they need to be having someone in this position sooner rather than later. PBC having a mouthpiece is being underplayed by PBC as having positive implications for them overall.

Yea it's ****ing strange. We're getting so many fights that, for the first time, I can barely keep up with boxing. And I'm enjoying a lot of them. Looks like there's more to come too...from ALL networks. And people are praying for **** to die. They need to go post on MMA or some **** and leave this sport to the real fans.

Do these arguments make sense to you?

People that do not like Arum for whatever reason never suggest he should put less programming on TV when the quality is not good. The argument is made for improved programming, not elimination of it.

Why are the opinions regarding Haymon so extreme?
boxing fans (myself included) have been wishing death on arum for years

Not to mention wilder-stivernne on showtime, Mares and LSC signed for August and the MW kid that got KTFO in his last fight with the huge lead, and the Bieterbiev KO on the Stevenson/Bika underccard.

But instead some still want to bring up just the bad fights and Garcia/salka from 2014.

Meh.. I haven't been that impressed with it so far. Some decent fights and crappy ones. I won't lose sleep over it though.

Even tomorrow's card is intriguing at worst. And you know there's a lot more coming. Plus, good fights on other networks as well. I'm loving the sport right now and smell a nice resurgence.
