Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Coach: Andre Ward Must Go to 164 or No Fight

As with all boogie man fighters, once its time to prove his worth GGG didn't, thats to be expected. But to outright avoid it, and probably will have the nerve to STILL say no one will fight him is hilarious. Another hype job, keep feasting on the week ass 160 division. I guess your "big fight" Lemeiux ( who also has beaten absolutely no one) is a step up smh.

The 154-168 thing has been exposed as a myth but it seems to me Ward's situation is more desperate because Golovkin can wait around for the Cotto Canelo winner and pick up a belt in the meantime. What does Ward have to do or wait around for? I guess he can wait for Kovalev and Stevenson to bash each other.Last edited by TheStranger; 07-24-2015, 08:39 AM.

But never mind the fact the ward asked them to come to the table to iron out these terms , but they refused . I see , your simply picking and choosing what u deem as valid and authentic based on whether or not it fits into your GGG DEFENSE STRATEGY , Got it !!!
Ward never asked ANYONE to come to the table. No one was refused. I can give you a link to the Rafael blog post, to the video and to Loeffler's statement that there was never any communication between the two camps and no offer was made or received. All of that is very easy to find on the net.
Can you provide even ONE LINK to back up your claims? JUST ONE?
NO? Big ****ing surprise that is!
Now just go away because you are an idiot and I am tired of educating you.

Andre Ward, the P4P skilled elite fighter (supposedly right behind Mayweather) who refuses to move up one weight class and win another title, and just wants to defend his 168 Belt against Light-Heavyweights and Middleweights -- in Oakland if he can get away with it too.
If Ward feel that he has outgrown 168 with his 172 catchweight fight, then he should happily move on up to LIght-Heavyweight in the same manner that Danny Garcia is moving up to 147. That or except the terms to make this fight happen. One Champion (Chad Dawson) already did it for him, it's his turn to do something to get a big fight made. Simply defending your 168 belt isn't gonna cut it MR. P4P # 2 in the world.

Don't get caught up into everything Ward's trainer says.
Ward took the Smith fight to knock the rust off. He'll probably take one more fight against a legit Light Heavyweight (maybe Pascal) then it's on to Kov.
If that doesn't happen then feel free to run your ****suckers freely about Ward.
I figure Ward will want at least another two fights at 175 before taking on Kovalev. That will take another two years or so at the pace he is going. By that time, Kovalev should be gone from LHW as it gets more difficult for him to make weight with every passing fight. Then all the Ward fans will be claiming Kovalev ducked him.
If Ward wants a tune up fight at 175, I suggest he give Beterbiev a shot. Such a young kid with so few fights should be no challenge for him, right?

Well he isn't wrong. They don't need Ward.
GGG beats Ward at 164 by the way. And I'd be shocked if Vegas didn't have him as the favorite. And that's why Ward won't take the fight. He knows he needs every advantage. His problem is he thinks he's a draw.
This topic is funny. Ward is the GGG hater's last hope to beat him. Although I have no idea how you can dislike Gennady's style. Ward has been a diva his whole career.
Ward always makes guys come to him in weight. Is fighting BUMS and at catchweights! But Golovkin gets criticism and NEVER Ward. Hypocrites
By looking at these boards the past month it's clear Gennady is becoming the biggest fighter in the sport. Haters are going to have to except it.
And it seems like Floyd fans are against Gennady and are grouping GGG fans with PacFans. But this situation is the opposite. It's GGG like Floyd who was being called scared to take the fight, when we all know that wasn't and isn't the case.
You're hate is transparent.
