    1. No, Ward wasnt about to go down to 160 for Floyd.

    2. GGG will have to decide what he considers a big fight for himself. But one thing is clear, legacy wise it doesnt get any bigger then Ward. Im shocked GGG's fans dont seem to care about his legacy at all.

    3. Not being able to come down 4 lbs doesnt mean he has outgrown 168. Your logic here mind-boggingly false. And I think Im being kind in putting it that way. You need to educate yourself in how guys cut weight to fight where they fight.

    2. RE "Legacy wise it doesn't get any bigger then Ward". This type of talk is reserved for guys who have already been Lineal World Champions and are just now looking to put great fighters/names into their resume. GGG is still waiting for his shot at the Real Middleweight title (history will not recognize him as a Middleweight champion just for picking up a Interim WBC belt, and a paper WBA Belt). But as i've mentioned in other threads, the focus should not be on GGG's legacy (a relative new comer compared to Ward, who was ranked P4P # 2 behind Floyd) but on Ward himself. You should be talking about Ward's legacy. Why isn't the P4P skilled Ward eager to become a 2-division World Champion? If he wants to fight at 168 because that's where he feels comfortable, then fine. Carl Froch also felt comfortable at 168 his whole career.

    3. Either he walks around close to his fighting weight of 168 or he doesn't. That's my criteria. I'm not gonna have a debate on how healthy Ward would be dropping another 4 pounds. That's the offer. Dawson made his decision too. Ward can take it or leave it.

You're right, let Ward come down to 160lbs like he had Dawson do for him at 168.
Difference is that Dawson on TV volunteered to drop to 168. Ward didn't make the request. Also 168 isn't a catch weight. It's the super middle weight limit.

      • This is the guy who said a year ago, when Andre couldn't fight that they will beat anyone from 147 to 168 pounds. Now that Ward is challenging GGG for his next fight, the same dude is saying that they will not fight Ward at 168 but they were willing to fight Froch and Chavez jr at 168. What happen Abel with you suppose excuse that Ward reject GGG. Now he is calling him publicly and you and your fighter just back up with the weight excuse. Next time stop calling out guys 2 divisions under like Floyd.

Yes... But wait: who's this Dawson? That confused guy who got KOd by the pimp with his first punch he landed in the 1st round? Well, now I remember him.

dawson never lived up to his potential, but at his peak he was a heck of a fighter. obviously ward didn't catch him at his peak, as he was drained of weight and already starting to slip.

still, dawson was a huge, coordinated, rangy southpaw who knew how to fight. if you recall, he was blatantly avoided by hopkins and calzaghe when joe had moved to 175 and was starting to look at the end of his career. hopkins fought him, and lost.

one can just as easily ask, "who is willie monroe JR?"

              2. Yes, apparently, the focus should never be on GGG's legacy. Thats all his fans ever say. Everybody else should fight GGG for legacy, but GGG should never be expected to do anything for his. Why is that? Its because his fans dont want people to notice that GGG's legacy is laughable/non-existent compared to the fighters around him.

              3. Your own made-up criteria is irrelevant because you arent the one cutting weight. The guys who walk around close to their fight weight are the exception. Guys who could cut an additional 4 lbs and still be at full health/strenght are the exception. Im not sure why you made up a criteria based on an alternate reality.

              4. Yes, the terms are there and will be declined because its a bogus offer. The weight stipulations make that clear. GGG can keep fighting cans, and you guys can pretend that this wasnt the plan all along.

Why are you questioning if Ward wants to become a 2 division champ? Unlike GGG, Ward didn't call out 3 division saying he'd beat anyone he faced in those divisions. GGG is the one that made that claim not Ward. Ward never said he wanted to move up to 175, at least not right away. GGG and his team should shut the **** up if they send out a challenge and then run away with their tail between their legs when it's accepted.

                • A team full of cowards. The promoter, the trainer, the fighter. They ooze cowardice. It's a sad sight. Goes to show how far this sport has fallen. Fighters are afraid to test themselves. Afraid to lose. They'd rather hide and cower than try to be great.

Gennady Golovkin is a coward. A b*tchmade coward. No heart, no balls. A giant p*ssy.

Well that's because I don't actively read Floydhype.com and Boxingscene probably did not reprint that story on their main page. But hey, if we can keep hanging on to GGG's "I'm the most feared from 154-168" quote, then I can keep hanging on to Wards 160 offer.

You just basically admitted what I already said in so many words, and your emotional outburst prevented you from seeing it. Yes, GGG does not have a legacy. He is not even a 1-time Lineal Word Champion yet, at the weight class that he has been campaigning at for years. Thanks for confirming what I already said. He does not need to fight Ward for legacy, he needs to win his first world title first.

Hmm, technically, fighting at 164 means that GGG would be fighting in the 154-168 paradigm, which GGG and his trainer claimed he was feared at.

Ward doesn't have to take it. If he doesn't feel that it's a BIG MONEY fight, then there is no reason for it since GGG isn't even The Middleweight Champion. With Dawson, he at least defeated the reigning Light-heavyweight Champion in just another 168-Title defense. He wouldn't even be doing that against GGG.
