  • Larry - why did floyd ask for a catch weight with Canelo but yet had no issue fighting others at full 154?

We both already know the answer.

Where is that offer? Still awaiting that link.

Or did you make this whole thread with just a couple assumptions and interpretations from a known GGG hater (you) to entertain the likes of you?

      Like always the haters failed.
You sound lost bro. I don't understand where you trying to go with this.

      • I'd rather see him add Lee, Canelo (Champion elect) & Lemiuex to his resume and unify the Middleweight division. Still got unfinished business at MW he's definitely not scared of greatness though come on now.

        • Team GGG will not allow him to be a stepping stone for Ward. What's more important right now is building his brand, not his legacy. That's why they were willing to fight Froch/Chavez and are hesitant to fight Ward. That's a fight that will pretty much ruin what they've been trying to create for the past 3 years. This situation reminds me of B-Hop/Trinidad, but GGG hasn't even done anything @SMW while Tito at least beat Joppy and held a belt. Tito's star was already cemented before facing B-Hop, so losing didn't really damage his brand. It also helped that he had a devoted fanbase behind him, and I don't think GGG has that (at least not yet). Ward is higher on the food chain than GGG, so of course he would love that match-up. That's why Team GGG brought out the ****** catchweight: to test how much leverage they have in the situation. When GGG's star is cemented, then maybe we'll get the Ward fight. Before then, Ward will have to play the waiting game. 154-168 is a big waiting game right now.

This is the right answer, if team ggg thought he could actually beat Ward this fight would get made in a hot second. Problem is they don't believe he can. Our loss, I was looking forward to seeing if ggg was really good enough to beat a quality fighter

GGG will probably have a unification fight against Lemieux and after that probably face the Canelo/Cotto winner.

What more can you ask for? He might move up when he has all the belts and challenge your lord and saviour Andre Bored.
Lie to yourself all you want but you and I both know that no credible boxing publication has ggg as the #3 p4p

Canelo called him out at 150 , why did Manny fight Marquez at 147 and demand Cotto be 145 , we can go around this BS all day .

Point is we all know GGG is ducking Ward and wants him drained or no fight , its the new way to get out of fight and save face to the fanboys that dont anything sht about boxing anyway ,.

Danny Garcia should call out Kov at 160 to level the playing field , that effectively is an extreme analogy what this GGG Ward BS is .

I'm fairly certain that GGG can beat better opponents than the ones who so far have had the courage to get into the ring with him. Given the 20 fight KO streak. Probably can't beat the 2nd best boxer on the planet who also happens to be larger, taller and far more experienced at an elite professional level. Must be a bum.

Not even a hardcore GGG fan but people like you force me to seem like one. Ring is crazy but even they have him at #4 P4P. That is the farthest down the list you will probably find him.
