GGG is basically stalling until Ward goes to 175 cause he knows Ward said he wont come back down. After that, GGG and Rafael will be back to pulling the "most feared fighter" BS.

Any who, Ward should take it or move up. These guys arent in the same division, some concessions have to be made..regardless of "168 for Froch doe". Whatever weight its at, GGG has a punchers chance...and FINALLY! Ward can move up! Face Kovalev which im certain he can win. As a patriot i gotta support my countryman in SOG for both fights..HBOs gonna have to find a new "great white hope"
I would say he had a punchers chance back in 11-12 when Ward won the super 6. I would still give the edge to Ward but GGG has more than a punchers chance. Kovalev/Ward is more 50/50. I also support Ward cuz he's from the U.S. But don't turn this into race. Support boxers because their technique, skill, humbleness and not on race, color, or ethnicity.

lol yeah both Cotto & Floyd fans converted to being Ward fans after GGG called them out. That being said it still isnt a good look when your team proudly boast to beat anyone from 54-68 and then back out and start looking for advantages after your bluff gets called. But GGG isnt obligated to fight Ward and Ward is having a hard time making 68 as it is. Cant wait on Gennady to move up forever. Time to test the waters at 75. I like Ward vs Fonfara.

Boxing has a lot to do with race pride and therefore is an extremely color conscious sport . I really don't take much issue with that , but when someone has been on their knees guzzling a fighters load for so long that they go blind , deaf and dumb , that's when I take serious issue . Just read what this dirt bag wrote below for an example

Now mind u Kovalev hangs proudly on his wall .
and In case he hasn't noticed , Kovalev with knowing only 10 words of English is still the most sh.t talkin-est , disrespectful, sh.t kicking racist in all of boxing right now, hands down . From calling Stevenson a monkey to saying he wishes he could of put Pascal into a deep sleep after already killing someone in the ring . Kovalev has the character of a sh.t stain

i have to disagree..k2 and ggg have brough this on themselves..his resume and popularity make some bitter...his contradictions and calling out the smaller fighter is bothering others...for me his biggest contradiction is takin the step aside money for cotto..if u want the WBC belt u dont have to wait..u shouldnt have took the money, but he is scared cotto would have dropped andhe wouldnt have got his big money fight..he cares nothing about the belt he cares about taking cotto's name...he's hoping canelo will win bc there is noway a former 140lb champ is fightin him at 160..

im a floyd, manny, cotto, ward, ggg, hell a fan of everybody..but i cant ride with BS..all he has to do it is be a boxer..win lose or draw he's going to be more popular than ward and still have 160 to go rule

Disappointing from GGG. I'm assuming the Froch fight would have been at 168 so i can't see why he can't do 168 for this.

However, Ward is no better. He was at 175 as an amateur yet he still drained Chad Dawson all the way down to SMW instead of meeting halfway. I wonder if he would be willing to meet halfway for this one? I doubt it. I doubt Ward would go up to 175 to fight Kovalev either.

I really doubt Ward can get under 168 now and if it was a catchweight and GGG won, they will just say Ward was drained. If he wants the real test, go to 168 and fight there and the same for Ward, if he can't get the good fights at 168, go to 175 and test yourself.

At 164, Ward would still have 2 inch and 10-15 lbs on GGG so Ward should have nothing to whine about. But.. catchweights in title fights should be banned. So I say 168 for the belt, 164 just for the glory or no fight at all. Keep in mind, Ward needs this fight more than Golovkin does and 50-50 is quite generous. Feel free to disagree.

The only reason he fought at LHW as an amateur is because the US team wanted both Dirrell and Ward to go to the Olympics so Ward had to move up. Dawson called out Ward for a fight at 168, Ward didn't request it. Golovkin fought at 165 in the amateurs.

Ward weighed 176 for Dawson, his last recorded fight night weight. Golovkin weighed 173 for Rubio. Feel free to provide evidence of this 15 lb difference for fight night.
