I'm more of the fan of GGG, because he is entertaining. But the Ward situation is mirror like to his own. Just like Golovkin, Ward has options in lower and higher weights. The reasons that they don't have options in their own respective weights are different, but that's beyond the pointl. The weight game is detrimental for both of them. But consider this - losing weight is harder than gaining one, after you gained the extra weight, then lose some and be effective is almost an impossible task. Ward claims that he wants to have his fights in the correct order - first the smaller GGG and then bigger Kovalev. In ideal world GGG also would like to have his fights in the same order - first at the smaller weight (Cotto, maybe even Mayweather, Canelo will also likely try to drain him even though they are exactly the same size and weight, but Canelo is younger and it is easier to cut the weight for him, or so he thinks). If GGG agrees to fight Ward NOW, it will be beneficial for Ward, but not so much for GGG, considering the future options. Ward should recognize this and if he is determined to make the fight, make some concessions. Under these circumstances 164 starts to look like a more fair weight (even though it maybe impacts Ward more). If he has such troubles making 164, then probably it is not a fair fight at all, because he is much bigger...

I'm also not in favor of GGG-Mayweather fight. They are too far apart in weight...Cotto is also kind of small (although not as small as Mayweather), but Cotto himself is less of a target, his 160 lb belt is. The best fights for GGG I would like to see are Lemieux, Lee and Canelo. Maybe Lara as well - just to make this chorus shut up...

It doesnt matter what ratings they draw against nobodies or what have you. A fight between the two of them will do great ratings, and thats all that matters. GGG isnt a A side, and Ward wouldnt be a A side, thats why Ward said both both teams should come in with clear heads and make a deal. You and the other people making excuses for GGG are nothing but cheerleaders and fangirls and should be ashamed. Have dignity you freaking chump.
Making excuses for GGG? I want the fight to happen, I would also bet for Ward to win. But business is business GGG is who fans want to watch now not Ward. Ppl love knockouts and GGG offers that. Look at Mike Tyson before he fought Trevor Berbick, he did not fight anyone but chumps except for James Tillis or Tills but he was knocking everybody out and that's why he got the lions share! You can argue all you want but numbers don't lie

dude u sound so protective..GGG gains weight as soon as he steps off the damn scale so your gain weight to lose weight theory would only work on guys like floyd, pac, and rigo who dont rehydrate...so rigo should have you full affection in not going up to 126..bc he'd really have to drop weight to go back to 22 at the age of 35...floyd went 152 and went back to 147 and hasnt lost p4p status yet...this is not the roy jones 200 to 175 gameplan

and how dare you compare GGG fighing former 140lb champs or the terrible mw division to ward trying to fight the monster's GGG and kovalev...tell ggg to come into the fight at 164 and let ward come in at 167 like he normally does...they will both rehydrate the same...fact is if u do the match GGG walks around heavier...ward said he is 180 earlier today...GGG was 173 26 das into an 8 week camp..u think he didnt lose more thatn 7 lbs in those 26 days?

tillis was not a p4p guy..and tillis had never done millions of views on hbo himself...hbo is not worried with the gate..they are worried with the views..therefore they will accept ward and pay him if need be...the gate get larger when u ad ward to the equation and u can charge more bc its not ggg vs can
