I beg to differ , I think GGG needs this fight more as he has not had a defining win whereas Ward has quite a few . Furthermore there r no viable options at the moment for GGG except Ward and just about everyone is sick and tired of watching him face cans . Patience is running very thin even with a lot of his fans .

It will be interesting who the EE fanboys will side now after they attacked Rigondeaux so heavily because he wanted the Loma fight at 124 and some of them attacked him even after he agreed on 126 just because he wanted a rehydration clause which is according to Loma's manager is only a formality to them.
I guess now they will side with Ward and they will attack GGG heavily because he wants cw.
        Oh wait...

For the record I would be cool with GGG vs Ward at 168 and with a rehydration clause to Ward. The same what would be good in the Rigo vs Loma situation. I think that'sfair.
But tryto drain down a guy who just fought at 172 to 164? Gtfoh GGG... Just say that you don't want it and go on...

The good news is that I think the GGG camp understands that with Ward calling him out and all this Ward talk in the air , they CANNOT fight another can next ! They must fight the only two viable and available options for this next fight in the fall . WARD or LEMIEUX no exceptions , so I'm sure they'll beg Lemieux and make him an offer he can't refuse so they don't have to romp with the Son of God .

GGG stock has risen significantly since 2012 he is the A side now and boxing is a business get that through your heads.
because dawson instantly offered to lol its not even kind of the same and as we saw in that fight its a big deal

The Hype Job finally exposed himself. Wished he never even mentioned Ward's name at 168 in the first place. He would still only be a nobody that can knock out taxi drivers and call out smaller opponents.

GGG should not be going anywhere near Ward!!!!!

This is a case where the boxing fraternity is trying to be too creative, this is not a match up to me. Its interesting only because Glolovkin is knocking out gatekeepers at 160, but this is a mis-match and people are forcing it because Ward sooner rather than later will be moving up to 175. If Glolovkin takes this fight now, the magic to the Golovkin Story ends in a few months, I don't really want to see that happen because I think his career has legs and he needs to be fighting a Canelo in front of 50-100,000 people on PPV, that is where the Golovkin story should make or break. That should be his career trajectory, and after that he has a launch pad to take more risky fights at 168 and even 175.

Ward will beat the snot out of him and shut him out, and all of a sudden you have totally lost the gloss he currently has. He is not like Canelo taking Mayweather either, where he is a young fighter who you can build up again. I think he should just let this one go and let it be for the sake of his career. If it happens down the road then great, if it doesn't then so be it.

GGG isn't a hype job however he's probably gotten a little too comfortable fighting C+ competition. I think GGG realizes how much of a threat Ward represents and wants to explore every possible option at the negotiating table before putting his invincible image on the line..

                    • Mister 164 don't want it with Ward....he was willing to be Mister 168 for Froch and Chavez Sr's lil brat ass son...but he's only willing to be Mister 164 for Ward....boogeyman title gets revoked for this.....I don't ever wanna hear about this guy getting ducked or being avoided ever again....the GGG fans need to jump ship and support a REAL fighter from the block like Krusher....even though he's a racist idiot, he's STILL a monster that has EARNED his respect and stripes...Krusher is the truth as far as his boxing goes....GGG is a business man so let him handle his business...Krusher is a fighter so let him fight Ward since most dudes are strategically avoiding him
