    Indefensible !
    1. froch and chavez jr bring (or brought) a lot of money to the table
    2. golovkin could probably beat froch and chavez jr regardless of weight, so he wouldn't need to gain a full 8 lbs of muscle and abandon middleweight. beating froch or chavez jr at 168 lbs would have actually improved his position in the middleweight division, because they would increase his profile and thus make him harder to avoid, plus he wouldn't have had to alter his body drastically. it's obvious that ward is a serious threat to golovkin and for that reason golovkin won't put himself at a significant weight disadvantage; he will either wait until he's finished business at middleweight and then perhaps acclimatise to super middle permanently, or, until then, demand that ward also compromises on his weight to cancel out his advantage

The Ward haters here want him to drop weight and, in the next sentence, they expect him to jump up to 175 to face Kovalev in the following fight. Why is Andre expected to move across 3 weight classes in a year? Sounds like some ignorant shyt.

        Sounds fair to me.
Absolutely, and how could any fight fan disagree with you ?

        1) Golovkin has been stating that he will fight anyone from 154-168 for years
        2) Only 2 months ago, Golovkin was willing to fight Froch at 168
        3) Team Golovkin have publicly accused Ward of ducking
        4) Golovkin is in desperate need of a career-defining fight

In light of those 4 points, the fight should be signed today !

Golovkids..... I got the day off work, so have fun defending Hypekin today

He fought him for no other reason than he was a middleweight and Geale would serve as a decent middleweight title defense. He has no intentions of ever fighting a top middleweight, the only reason he's playing this game is because his belts are his leverage on the negotiating table for Canelo (or at the time the possibility of a Floyd rematch).

HBO paid Golovkin $1.5 million for being Golovkin. He would have got the same purse against the other available options - Heiland or Johnson. They fought Monroe because of a lack of fighters available (Cotto said no, everyone else had a fight).

No fucking shit. What is the point in even saying this? Ward would get more credit beating Kovalev than GGG but that doesn't stop Ward from preferring to fight GGG now does it?

Golovkin is a middleweight. His goal is to unify the middleweight division and become lineal champion. This is pretty much the entire point of boxing. Like Bernard Hopkins before him and Marvin Hagler. Clean out the division, become the best, dominate.

Again, what is the point here? Golovkin would get even more props skipping 168 and beating Kovalev! The sky is blue.

Why would I care if you're impressed or not? Boxing is a sport. In this sport the best in a weight class are supposed to fight the best fighters. We have for years wanted one champion in a division, not four. Not five. One. The goal, as Gennady has said for a long time now, is to unify 160 and become the man of middleweight. Unfortunately it's pretty difficult to do with diva's like Cotto holding the crown hostage. This is exactly what I predicted would happen when Sergio-Cotto was announced, sadly.

Just because you admit Golovkin is too good & powerful for Cotto doesn't mean Golovkin shouldn't have to prove it. Why even fight then? What's the point if you already know the outcomes to fights? Just because Mayweather is too good for everyone at welterweight doesn't mean he should leave the division. What a ****** argument. Klitschko is too good for Heavyweight, he should just retire since they're aren't any other divisions to move up to!
I didn't really read this long ass post, I read here and there. It's probably just a list of excuses of why it's okay for GGG and not Cotto/Canelo/Floyd or anyone else. But the last paragraph made a lot sense actually... Floyd shouldn't fight Berto really, I'd rather it not happen and he retire. Same for Klits to be honest with you, it would be a god send to the HW division.

Both guys leaving would be better for the sport than them facing guys who have no chance. I don't want to them to leave or retire, I'd rather see Floyd in a rematch with Cotto or even face GGG. Win or lose, he's challenged. I just want to see people challenged it's as simple as that.

No, man... Ward doesn't have another money fight right now. Ward just can't make another $2mln by fighting a new Paul Smith... I remember when Ward offered GGG $500k, and now he wants to make at least $2 millions on GGG's back... No way GGG is such a ****** guy!... Right now, Ward just can't push GGG into anything because GGG doesn't give a shit about Ward as we speak.

Team GGG just mocked Ward up with that 164 demand...

So he won't fight Ward because Ward is a better fighter than Froch and Chavez. That's ducking pal.

I don't care. Ward would kick GGG's ass. I know it. Ward knows it. His fans know it. GGG knows it. His management know it. And his fans know it. That's why Team GGG don't want it. And that's why his fans don't want. Perfectly satisfied to ride the fake hype train. #pathetic

I wouldn't give two shits if GGG campaigned at 160 his entire career.

The only two fights that I think make any sense for Ward to stay at 168 is a fight against GGG or Chunky.

I think it's time for a move up for Ward to legit 175 fighters if either fight can't be made.

                  That's pretty much my stance.

If Ward starts asking for CW's against the Kovalev's or Stevenson's at LHW, I'll be shitting on him for it.

Ward makes $2 million whoever he fights, more than Golovkin.
