Golovkin fan here and I don't support his catchweight anyway.
He wants to weaken his opponent, that's what CWs are for.

Team GGG: We want Floyd, this is the biggest fight in the universe

      These guys are a joke.
Now, I truly hope that Golovkin misses out on that fight.

Fcuk him, for being over-hyped and entitled.

Now, I truly hope that Cotto beats Canelo.

Because Canelo might actually fight Golovkin at 160, but Cotto will either decide not to fight Golovkin, or demand a nasty catchweight.

Either of those situations would be fine in this particular case.

BTW, I have been saying for years that with 17 divisions today catchweights are completely unnecessary and are mostly being used to manipulate contractual advantages.

      Serves y'all right.

              • ... One cannot take Ward seriously...
Golovkin first called him back in 2013...
What did Ward do? He took E-Rod instead... E-Rod, doe...
... Then (on Nov. 17 2013) what did Ward say? Look: "I respect (Golovkin), but I see holes in his game. ... Ask them if they want it at 168 (pounds) right now." (NB: it was on Nov 17, 2013!!!)... Then what did Ward do? Ward retired!!!
In 2014 Golovkin called Ward again but Ward came back as late as spring 2015 to fight the dangerous Paul Smith, doe!...
... Lately Ward is talking GGG again!

... Who can take this guy seriously? You never know what he will do next in a week or a month from now...
... If Ward really wants to be taken seriously he must at least fight someone of notice and call GGG after... Fight Dirrell, fight DeGale first...

but shouldn't ward make 164 easily? I mean you guys were on here before his smith fight " yeah but he already at 168 one week before the smith fight doe so he can still fight at smw to avoid kovalev" and even virgil and ward said "yes he might have fought at LHW in the Olympics but he still weighed in or less than 168" now its like fu cking impossible for him? Im riding with GGG fu ck ward. Ward is lucky GGG isn't giving his ass the dawson treatment
