    • Meeting half way sounds good to me. Fair enough. No excuses now.

Ditto here, Ward GGG would be great but so will GGG Lemieux or Canelo. Ward, not sure what he has in the pipeline that you could get excited about. Apparently not Kovalev, that's late next year at best.

          NO !

Dont say " but "..... dont deflect by changing the subject..... and dont mention Klitschko again, if you want to be taken seriously.

The correct reply was..... ok, I admit that Golovkin has undeserved standing/hype, based on inaccurate (NOTE: I changed dishonest to inaccurate, for the purpose of accuracy, but not convinced at all that dishonest is not the correct word, not one bit) comments made by Team Golovkin for PR purposes..... and, it looks like Golovkin is being very selective (ducked, but we can use the word selective if you prefer) about Andre Ward, which is not in accordance with his public statements.

          Fkn easy !

Ward will obviously move to 175, as confirmed by Duva.

Yes because going down in weight is just as easy as going up. Look at all the multi-weight champions, half of them move down to win titles.

WTF is this crap? Just fcuking answer already, why are you boosting Ward despite him being a fraud, a fake, and a liar according to your standards?

you said you were disappointed with the catchweight
Since we'd likely have to wait anywhere between 8 and 9 months for this fight to happen, there's plenty of time for negotiations. I think the fight will be at 168. At least I hope anyway.

Most fighters win titles as they naturally move up through the divisions as their body grows and matures. Golovkin is done growing and is a natural middleweight. ANY significant move up or down for him at this time is a serious risk to his career and would have to be for a major PPV fight with the payday to match. If Ward wants to fight GGG at 168, he should wait until GGG decides to move up to that division and has no intention of moving back to 160.

Of course you are ignoring the FACT that Golovkin has stated that he has no interest in winning titles at 168 and that a Ward fight at this time would not be a title fight. So any mention of winning titles is just a red herring to avoid the fact that a fight between GGG and Ward at 164 would be a very fair compromise at this point in time. Expecting Golovkin to move up to 168 and then return to 160 would be ridiculous for the monetary benefit that a Ward fight would offer, which would be less than the upcoming Lemieux fight and MUCH less than the future fight against the Cotto-Canelo winner.

And no one is asking Ward to move to a lower weight class, just to a lower weight within his division limits.

And then finally there is the only thing that really does matter... NO DEAL OR OFFER WAS EVER MADE AND NO DISCUSSIONS BETWEEN THE TWO CAMPS EVER OCCURED MAKING THIS ENTIRE SITUATION NOTHING BUT THEORETICAL IN NATURE.

Shame that so many people here are too ****** to understand that FACT.

                    Who is boosting Ward ?

I am simply pointing out the inconsistencies and double-standards with GGG.

A poster who states that he is concerned about inconsistencies and double-standards..... but then completely fails to see the inconsistencies and double-standards with Golovkin..... does not get to call Andre Ward a fake

So, do you agree with the bold below, or not ?

Rubbish, this article states exactly what happened.....

" A source with knowledge of the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that a potential fight between Andre Ward and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin is being held up by the weight.

From what BoxingScene was told, Golovkin's side is insisting on a catch-weight of 164-pounds.

There have been conversations between Roc Nation Sports (who have Ward) and K2 Promotions (who have Golovkin), but those discussions have gone absolutely nowhere because the two sides are unable to get past the issue of weight..........
                      "

                      http://www.boxingscene.com/andre-war...-weight--93803

There were initial discussions between Roc Nation and K2, but the discussions did not evolve into a negotiation because K2 refused to move on the weight.

Team Golovkin want nothing to do with Andre Ward
