Fighting 4 times a year is hardly "lofty goals", nor does it define how "special" he is. It's what he has been doing anyway. It's quite simply a fight schedule that he may or may not meet - but you are the one who chose to focus on it for some utterly bizarre reason. No-one is going to be "shocked" when it turns out he will only fight 3 times this year - although again, maybe you might want to look away from the idea of a calendar year and see that his last four fights, from Geale to Monroe, happened in the space of 10 months.
So if he fights before October of this year....guess what, genius? He will have fought 4 times in the space of 12 months (a year).

I was thinking that about Lem too, but he is starting to seem the most likely. Lara would be good. Ward would be great just so Dirk Diggler could get over that hump in his life.Comment

Second, I will be happy if he fights a high-quality fighter who has a snowball's chance in hell of beating him. Stepping up the level of his opponents means nothing because a step up for GGG would be Pauli Malignaggi.Comment

He is only exciting to his limited fan base, which consists of boxing's intellectually-challenged fans who think that anything other than standing in the center of the ring and slugging away at each other until one fighter falls down is a boring fight.
