Let's see. He fought 4 times in 2013.

He then fought 3 in the calendar year of 2014 - but he actually fought 4 times in the space of 12 months, from Adama in Feb 14, then Geale in July 14, then Rubio in October 2014 to then Murray in Feb 2015.

In 2015, it looks like it's going to be 3 times. I may be mis-remembering but didn't his father's death impact on his schedule too?

So he's not actually that far off from fighting 4 times a year. He is undoubtedly one of the most active fighters at the elite level.

So I am struggling to comprehend why Golovkin fans are gullible for believing he might fight 4 times a year?

It's utterly bizarre. That's a new form of attack, going after a set of fans over a fighter's schedule

    What is going on here?

Then he doesn't. What does the fans being "gullible" have to do with anything?

Didnt Lemieux (sp) get starched by Rubio or am I thinking of someone else?

That's because it's uncommon for him to fight quality opponents.

Maybe not realistic in your world but I the real word it was. Unfortunately you need willing opponents to fight that often.

GGG certainly could gave fought 4 times this year and I have no doubt he have if an opponent was available for August or early September.

He fought 4 times in 2013 and would fought 4 times in 2014 if it wasn't for his father's death.

Golovkin's fans might be pleasantly surprised if fights an opponent with a pulse. However, real boxing fans won't be happy.

My two examples were examples of years of only world title fights so your original claim was false. Maybe he won't, but there was/is nothing gullible about thinking he might.

The whole Carl Froch affair seemed to have left scars on Carl's Crotch sniffers.

Just my observation. Loffler and team Golovkin have a knack for setting these lofty goals for the guy and his fans run with it as a basis for how special of a fighter he is until it doesn't happen abd their shocked, well the decent ones are. The others just make excuses. Happen all the time with this guy. Don't be mad at me for calling it out.

What example?? 2013? Golovkin was not a household name in 2013. He was just beginning to get his buzz. Since then he's basically considered the top guy at MW and HBO has basically moved to make him their #1. Comparing him now to then is pretty weak. Not to mention his opposition that year was extremely sus. It's easy to fight 4x a year when ppl don't exoect high quality fights outta u.
