Simple rules of thumb and observation:

-most fight promoters generally take 30%-33%
-most fight managers generally take 15% of the purse
-trainers are supposed to get 10%
-general rule of thumb on taxes is 35%.
-Manny Pacquiao is known to take large fight advances, with at least $4m spent on fight tickets

If those basic parameters hold true, Pacquiao is out 80% of his purse, before even figuring how much of his purse he'd received as an advance. lol

If you watched the SBnation video, Ward himself said GGG would not be next if it happens. Golovkin will hopefully fight Lemieux in October. And Ward will fight another BUM. Then GGG will press to get the Cotto Canelo winner. This whole debate about nothing is premature.

As a GGG fan , i dont pretend to defend him here , he was quoted not long ago on that russian interview saying that he said yes and ward said no , now ward says yes , if he wants it , it seems open again , if he doesnt want it he should come out and say it , like Froch did about him (the "its a risky fight ill swerve him and **** the rest") , nothing to be ashamed off if you dont want to move up and face a tough challange.
I dont mind the media communication as a start to negotiations , the 164 is probably the first pawn moved on the board (if indeed they want the fight) so they can do 168 with better split.
if they cannot make the fight happen because HBO / Roc arent making it possible due to purse being too low , then lets hear it , if its Ward blocking the fight - lets hear it , but now , the ball is in their court lets see how they play it.
