I love the fake outrage.

But y'all will tune in and talk about this fight and him for a long time.

Then the next guy emerges and then y'all will make threads about how Floyd is SCARED to come back from retirement and fight the next guy that will give him his first loss.

Or you will spend time making threads about how broke he will be and he will HAVE to come back to fight.

Floyd trying to please Boxing Scene's nutlickers is akin to a *** trying to please a neo-****. Nothing he does will ever placate the ill will you hold in your hearts for his boxing style and flamboyant personality. He does not care what you think of him or his actions.

People act like there is some fight out there available for Floyd that will elevate his legacy. Beating Keith Thurman, Lara, or whoever the hell isn't going to do squat for him. Floyd's not fighting on, he's retiring and given what he's accomplished over 20 years - and the fact that he's coming off an incredible high and a grueling camp for the biggest fight of his career - I think it's OK if he doesn't take on another elite fighter four months later. It's his last fight. Stop whining, b*tches.

Floyd vs Maidana was suppose to be lopsided too. I wouldn't consider myself a Flo mo you have to ask yourself who's left out there for Floyd? GGG? He's fought everyone around his weight that was considered a real threat. When great fighters lose, it's usually to someone who wasn't perceived to be a real threat.

Maidana was awkward, and showed vs Broner his style could be interesting vs Mayweather.

Berto has a lot of milage on him and has taken some pretty bad beatings. He probably shouldn't even be in the ring for his own health's sake.

I will watch the fight. I just kind of hoped for someone with more upside than Berto who has lost 3 of his last 6 fights.

Floyd fought Pac which is what everyone wanted so he did satisfy that demand.

Would've been nice to see Thurman or Brook or somebody like that get a shot on the big stage.

I've been pretty vocal about the current crop of welters falling way short of Mayweather..... and about not one of them deserving the payday because ALL of them avoided risky fights heading toward September.....

..... but I think I agree with you now, even Thurman/Brook would be better.

I think Lara would, but I agree with you about the welters.

And when you think about it..... Berto/Thurman/Khan/Brook..... whoever..... none of those cats are gonna beat Mayweather, and Berto might be entertaining.
