Khan's chin is below average but far from glass.

I agree...keep Khan away from hitters and he's got a bit of a career, where as David must retire as it will only end in tears , the writing was on the wall from his amateur days .A real nice guy and it's such a shame but it's not going to happen , I hope he see's this.

Price has not mentally recovered from his 2 KO losses to TT and probably never will.

He reminded me of Audley Harrison last night - poking and pawing with his jab and giving ground instead of throwing punches whenever Teper walked into him.

The old, pre-TT Price would have taken Teper's head off in the first 30 seconds of that fight without a second thought.

The Audley comparisons are right. Both had the tools for good amateur careers but couldn't hack it in the pro's beyond Domestic/Commonwealth level. It is what it is. There's no real excuses. Not every guy can be a world class fighter, it's just most of them don't have the attention these guys got because of Olympic medals so their shortcomings are not as highlighted.

Both seem really nice guys too. Audley just had more of a personality where he could talk a good game and still get himself some decent paydays but Price isn't that kind of guy.

If he wants to make a living from boxing, or his promotors want to recoup some money they should have him fighting in Liverpool against domestic level fighters that he can knock out in front of people who will pay and don't really know/care about the level of opposition. After that they might even be able to get him a good domestic payday/cashing out fight against a good British heavyweight if he goes on a streak of knocking out average domestic level fighters. As far as fighting beyond that level he can forget about it. Nice guy though and if he chooses to make a living from boxing to feed his family then i hope he does it as safe as possible instead of being put in with guys that are going to keep knocking him out.

You can't get away with a glass chin as a HW. Any touch on his chin and Price is likely to go.

No chance of him making world level now IMO. British/Commonwealth level seems to be the limit.

Ain't much to think about for this dude, unless he goes to 160 he ain't ever making it at world level in boxing, guys like Ward, Kovalev and Chakhkeiv would ice him.

Jokes aside he should never have taken this fight and if their is any positives to come from this he should consider himself fortunate they lost the purse bids as had this been in Liverpool I fear he may have thrown himself into the Mersey.

Had they just rebuffed the fight, took an easier fight the Joshua fight would still have been there, he could have knocked out Audley Harrison and the Brits would think he was due a title shot and a they'd have snapped up a ppv versus Joshua. Price is a fool, he should have accepted his limitations and took the Haymon/Hearn route of cashing in and out.

This should have been a winnable fight for Price. He can really **** when he lets his punches go and Teper was there to be hit. But he didn't throw enough punches, and when he did throw, he wasn't throwing with power. Probably worried about punching himself out, as in the second TT fight.

He could touch Teper with the jab whenever he wanted, but all he did was touch him - no force or conviction in his jab at all. A good stiff jab would have kept Teper at bay and given Price room to bring one of his big right hands over.

If he is going to recover from this he needs to go right back to basics. Learn, or re-learn, how to throw a proper left jab and get some practice in doing that against 5 or 6 "cans" before thinking about moving up to European or British title level again.

Lets be honest - Tony Thompson and Teper are basically C class heavyweights.

Both disposed of Price with ease.

Its not just his fragile confidence, its his lack of ability as well.

I respect him trying his best, but would lose respect if he decided to carry on boxing.

This was for the European title & a good ranking. I'm sure he got paid well. If he can't beat a 14-0 guy like teper then he isn't going anywhere. He would have been a fool not to take the fight. He had 5 tune ups already since the Thompson defeats. This would have set up a nice fight with Joshua. There was no guarantee he would have got AJ without a win here. You can't protect your fighter forever. Teper was at the same level as price. He beat a bunch of journeymen & duhaupas. This guy should have been the perfect opponent for Price. He couldn't get it done.
