Lets be honest - Tony Thompson and Teper are basically C class heavyweights.

Both disposed of Price with ease.

Its not just his fragile confidence, its his lack of ability as well.

I respect him trying his best, but would lose respect if he decided to carry on boxing.
Thompson is a top 20 fringe contender (B Level) & Teper is B right now as he beat all the journeyman including Price & Duhaupas. He is closing in on the top 20 as well...

For me B Level fighters are those in the top ten or thereabouts.

The HW division is very thin, so anyone outside the top twenty is there for a reason.

Teper might do something, but I'm still unconvinced.

        Just my opinion.

The old, pre-TT Price would have taken Teper's head off in the first 30 seconds of that fight without a second thought.
No he wouldn't of. Teper isn't that bad. I got all his fights. He destroyed several journeymen much like Price. He beat sprott, rogan, oloukan, musafarov (had a close 10 round fight with boytsov) & johann duhaupas before he beat Price. This guy was ready for a step up. Teper has some pop & he throws a lot of punches. He is a pressure fighter with a good chin. Maybe Teper should be getting some credit & price just wasn't that good. Let's not forget ondej Pala dropped price in their bout. price also had like 12 losses as an amateur as well. A few by knockout...

fair enough... 10-20 in my opinion is B level, 6-10 is B+, A level is top 5...

He would have been a fool not to take the fight. He had 5 tune ups already since the Thompson defeats. This would have set up a nice fight with Joshua. There was no guarantee he would have got AJ without a win here. You can't protect your fighter forever. Teper was at the same level as price. He beat a bunch of journeymen & duhaupas. This guy should have been the perfect opponent for Price. He couldn't get it done.
If he kept facing cream puffs like Joshua has, in Liverpool their would have been demand back home for them to get it on. Kalle tried to win purses and stage the fight in his hometown.

I'm not really sure why anybody picked Price over Teper, ignorance maybe, but they should have avoided him and aimed for Joshua to cash out.

You say no guarentees but it would have been a certainty if he kept winning against oranges, peaches, pears and plums.

Retirement is surely the only sensible option, he just doesn't have what it takes.

I was talking about literally the first 30 seconds of the fight. Teper just walked straight up to Price and stood there right in front of him, hardly moving his head at all. Price poked 3/4 weak jabs into his face then retreated to the ropes.

The old Price would have teed off without any hesitation, given a chance like that, and probably won the fight there and then.

                    One word: golf.

With his power and enough practice, he could outdrive Tiger Woods easily.

Price has always had terrible chin. Even in the amateurs he got sparked out. He should just retire, he has zero defense and is unable to withstand any form of pressure what so ever.
