This should have been a winnable fight for Price. He can really **** when he lets his punches go and Teper was there to be hit. But he didn't throw enough punches, and when he did throw, he wasn't throwing with power. Probably worried about punching himself out, as in the second TT fight.

He could touch Teper with the jab whenever he wanted, but all he did was touch him - no force or conviction in his jab at all. A good stiff jab would have kept Teper at bay and given Price room to bring one of his big right hands over.

If he is going to recover from this he needs to go right back to basics. Learn, or re-learn, how to throw a proper left jab and get some practice in doing that against 5 or 6 "cans" before thinking about moving up to European or British title level again.

You seem to imply Price should not just dissapear....I agree. boxing is a sport and people who are talented have the ability to improve. Price was exposed some time ago... But that has advantages because Price knows exactly what his opponent will be trying to do. if he learns to move, angles and work off his size, i.e pushing people around off balancing them, using his reach, he can have some success.

He needs to learns the craft....he is hardly alone, its just more evident. I think some of his chin problems are related to confidance.

not everyone can fight at the top level and unlike days past, the olympic quality of fighter has declined imo, thus is not a guarantee of success. Price can rally in the sandlots and try to get his act together.

I don't generally urge fighters to retire when they're still in their physical prime, but Price really needs to retire, unless he doesn't mind whoring himself out as the heavyweight division's next Audley Harrison. He doesn't have what it takes to be a professional boxer, mentally or physically, and I can't see anyway he can realistically make a decent living out of the sport.

And with a chin like his, who knows what long term damage he may be accruing?

Anybody above journeyman status at HW are just gonna bring too much for Price unless he finds a way to authorise that jab and keep fighters on the outside.

He could do with shifting around the ring on the back foot quicker but of course these attributes don't come naturally because of his physical size.

All I know is I don't wanna see anymore KO's like that against Teper.

Yeah, definitely. He shouldn't feel ashamed about his career. He was a decent fighter who achieved a lot in his time in the sport.

But he needs to retire. He has nothing to look forward to.
