Well sure Maidana looked better...all Floyd did in their first fight was sit on the ropes for the first 3 rounds and let Marcos swing away..he even said after the fight He was trying to be entertaining...

Maidana is upwards of 20lbs heavier than Pacquiao.

It's funny how Pacquiao's size is completely overlooked by nearly everybody in the industry. He set the bar that high, I guess.

Even if you rated Floyd and Pacquiao equal P4P, Floyd SHOULD win because he is bigger. He was rehydrating after the weigh in while Pacquiao was chowing on Toblerone.

                Honestly...

Maidana, Castillo, Cotto, De La Hoya, Mosley, and even Augustus.. They all did better work with Floyd than Manny did. You can't be so tentative with Floyd, if you aren't willing to go at him with a little bit of a suicide machine mentality then you aren't even going to come close.

Maidana faced Mayweather twice in 2014. The first time, last May, resulted in a highly competitive fight which generated a September rematch. Mayweather won both fights by way of twelve round decision.

Pacquiao, who believes he was robbed on the official cards, allowed Mayweather to dictate the pace of their contest from the opening bell. With pace slowed to Mayweather's liking, it was easy for him to box his way to a twelve round decision win.

Both won 4 rounds. Everyone got so emotionally invested into this fight that they saw what they wanted to see.

The standards were higher for Pacquiao. Putting on an equivalent performance was always going to be not enough. They wanted to see Hagler/Leonard type of ****.
