I think Pacquiao did just slightly less than Maidana in the first fight. But you don't get any respect vs Mayweather unless you're beating the sht outta him, and even then he's likely to be given the round unless you hurt him.

Alot of boxers and people felt Floyd clearly won a close(in terms of rd's) fight.

I don't necessarily disagree. I'm a Pac fan but I know he lost that fight and will likely lose a next fight. One thing was made very apparent to me that night, their skills and gifts are on par but Floyd is too big for Pac. They really are at least a weight class in difference in build/size and when you're fighting someone at Floyd's skill level, you can't give up size as well.

End of the day though, its a safe fight that has huge money and legacy (50-0) for Floyd. Far more incentives for him to give a rematch than not.

It's funny how Pacquiao's size is completely overlooked by nearly everybody in the industry. He set the bar that high, I guess.

Even if you rated Floyd and Pacquiao equal P4P, Floyd SHOULD win because he is bigger. He was rehydrating after the weigh in while Pacquiao was chowing on Toblerone.
Exactly!!! Everyone calling for Manny to use the Maidana game plan failed to realize that Pac was the lil guy in the ring against Floyd. Where Chino had a 15-20lb weight advantage.

The funny thing to me. Is that in all their b1tch'n n moan'n about Floyd's "running and holding." They expose their lack of boxing IQ. Because the rule Floyd blatantly broke the entire fight was pushing Manny off him damn near every time Manny got in punching range. And because Floyd was the bigger, taller, stronger fighter with the reach advantage. Whenever Manny worked his way inside on Floyd, Floyd would simply extend his arms and push Manny completely outta range and force him to reset. That completely killed Manny's rhythm. But I haven't read a single complaint about it from Manny's fan base. Nor did I hear Manny, Roach, Buboy, or anyone else in Manny's corner appeal to Bayless about it durning the fight.

Why people even talking about Floyd anymore? This ducking @ss muthaphucka old news now, sweep the hoe under the rug.

It's time to bow down to the man he feared & ducked like no other - Amir Khan, officially Floyd's papa.

There was a lot of palm-sided contact from Floyd that night, that's for sure. Pushing, pulling, holding and hitting...lots of fouls and zero warnings and some blatant attempts to foul that didn't land...but hey, its Mayweather so nobody cares, its just "sweet science"

It's just like Manny said. If Floyd would have been still, he could have hit him.
