Just because Floyd is #1 does not automatically mean he has to fight the BEST fighter every time out.

The last long reigning pound for pound king we've had in the sport was Hopkins, Jones and De La Hoya. None of those guys fought elite or #1 contenders every title defense.

Just because others are doing the wrong thing, does not mean everyone else has to follow. On top of that Floyd is in a different position than anyone you can name, he can 99% get any fight he wants. While guys like say Thurman, Brook, GGG, have seen road blocks trying to make certain fights. Floyd has no road blocks, everyone is willing to fight him, for that big pay day.

Floyd has CLEARED out all RELEVANT challengers. There is literally nobody else left in his weight class to make a PPV level fight with.

When youve cleared out your weight class like Floyd then you deserve to do what you want at this stage of your career.
