Because he said he would take that big fights at 168(although how big a fight with Ward is I'm not sure, but the hardcore fans would be excited).

He should just take it at 168. Although he's smaller in weight and length. If he beats Ward it won't just mean he was better, but much better.

Convienent that Hopkins said that when 168 was stacked and everyone was asking him to move there.

I have never seen anyone say that either.

Ward should move up to fight Kovalev but Golovkin should also move up to fight Ward.

We get the Ward/GGG fight then the move up to 175 for Ward/Kovalev. That's the order that makes sense.

They are Ward fans and they want him to have every advantage and the best chance to win. GGG can fight him at a weight limit of 168 and beat him in my opinion. He should not even consider fighting Ward near Oakland where they let Ward fight dirty without even a warning. Fight Ward on neutral ground. GGG is not a big middleweight but his skill, power and ability to take a punch will win it for him.

I think either fight should be at a catchweight

GGG vs Ward should be 164 and Ward vs Kovalev should be at 172

and neither fight should be in oakland, neutral venue with neutral judges

I don't say to him that he must go up but if he doesn't then he should really stop the trash talking about Ward. That's all.

But it's clear as day that they don't want the Ward fight and the majority of their fans also don't want it, instead they go in full defense mode and keep repeating Kovalev's name like a broken record like children in kinder garden. Golovkin's team says Ward turned down the opportunity while Ward was inactive and didn't fight anybody. I mean anybody can offer a fight to him when it's well known that he isn't available at that time. And now they're making demand that the fight would have to be in catch weight. Where were the catch weight demands when he wanted to fight Froch or JCC Jr.?
His fans keep saying he has "unfinished business" in 160. What unfinished business? Now the "so worthless" alphabet titles became super important again and even more important than the level of competition and serious challenges? Only thing you can hold onto is the Cotto vs Canelo fight's winner because that is the only worthy challenge for Golovkin in middleweight but other than that it's a desert? Who's there? Lemieux? N'dam? Stop kidding please!

I would be curious how the GGG tards would react if Ward would fight Kovalev at 175. It would make Golovkin look really bad, especially if Ward would win it but even if Ward would lose (but I think he would win).

This is not what going on.

GGG has a lot of fans that used to love Manny. One of their criticisms of Floyd was "move up and dare to be great" another was "if you are undefeated, you haven't faced everyone you should".

When those posters start their usual BS, other posters remind them of the things they said and put GGG's name in instead of Floyd to see if they still feel the same.

They do not. So the real question is why have they flip flopped?
