What impresses me more is the fact that when he gets hurt, he somehow weathers the storm which shows he is intelligent enough to move or tie up his opponent when hurt.

I wouldn't say hes really vulnerable to taking shots, maybe not the best but he makes up with it by outboxing and outbrawling when he needs too, a work in progress still id say.

Last 3 fights he has ran more, far too cautious now. I don't think he has too much confidence in his punch resistance. Good fighter when he lets his hands go though.

Maybe he's trying to become more of a hit and don't get hit type. Whatever it is, he needs to get back to the old fun to watch Thurman or he will lose some fans for sure.

i agree i never saw him as someone who could beat mayweather but that doesnt matter. the fact is hes a great young talent the thing is i agree it seems like hes always been so dominant so far in his career that when he gets hurt he does not know what to do and he starts to back pedal at an alarming rate. He did say in an interview after the fight he was going to take a knee but was worried how it would look

Thurman moves way too much for a guy with his type of punch. I like him but he wasn't impressive last night and was very fortunate for that ending, which I still don't understand. People keep saying collazo took a beating in the 7th which I didn't see at all.

It would have been all well and good if he was in there with Chino, Provo, Brook, Porter level guys but he's doing this vs 40 and 34 year old, middle of pack-light punchers.
